Caddo River Motel — Hotel in Glenwood

Twilight Zone + Hills have eyes + human centipede with a dash of more messed up. I traveled the nation working for 10 years staying 1 to 4 months any where from The Bronx Miami Montana Vegas where there is literally a community of people that live in the sewer under the street . Also renting and buying houses in Texas Tennessee Arkansas (where i was born and raised) and not any experience in my travels or personal life compared to the 8 months I was there. My faith in humanity will never be restored after. I tried to benefit of the doubt every situation that occurred and failed to do my research until it was to late. If you have seen don't f@#!÷ with cats you will get this . Don't f÷@# with the bi$#! Running that establishment or any other business or residence. If you find yourself in a bad spot like I did and not being many rentals open these days please do not settle. You are better off doing literally anything. " oh I stayed there and everything was fine maybe a little out dated". Was it because there was audio video recording that someone had hooked up without my knowledge at the property I was renting. That unfortunately doesn't even scratch the surface on issues that happened and sadly still going on as I am currently trying to relocate as quickly as possible. Do your research. My girlfriend and I decided to head to Arkansas for Labor Day weekend for some hiking and visiting Crater of Diamonds state park and reserved a room at the Caddo motel.||We had called the Caddo motel just 30-minutes prior to let them (Ms. Lynda) know that we would not be arriving in until almost 11:00pm. She was extremely accommodating letting us know which room we would be in and where she would place the key for us. Once we made it to Harrison, AR. we stopped at the welcome center and after a short stop got back on the road. My truck made a grinding sound on acceleration and the check engine light came on which we immediately decided, with 4-hours ahead of us in drive time, to turn around and head the 1.5 hour drive back home. My girlfriend called the motel to let them know we would not be coming in due to this issue and Ms. Lynda was absolutely understanding, accommodating, and let us cancel without charging us a dime. ||I cannot say how the location of the motel is or if the bed was comfy or room in working order but I can say for certain that when we do make it down to that area this fall we WILL be staying at the Caddo motel! LOVE THIS PLACE. Have stayed here many times now and keep returning. (See pictures.) Rooms are CLEAN. Beds are comfortable. All rooms have quality black-out window shades. Some bathrooms have recently been remodeled and each room has a cute theme (#2 is a sweet LODGE CABIN feel. Another is a Western theme, etc..) Owner/Manager, Lynda, is delightful, creative and hard-working. She makes her guests feel like friends. Rates are very reasonable. I sometimes bring my two (well-behaved) dogs, and the pet fee is negligible compared to chain motels. Great location, backs up to the woods and the gorgeous Caddo River is nearby. Cabin rentals here are great for families and special occasions. Glenwood is a cute little town, good restaurants, boutiques and less than an hour to Hot...
