Absolutely disgusting hotel. Was part of a wedding party that had reserved over 15 rooms. Several guest had called mid week to confirm their reservations to which they were told was confirmed but upon arrival were told that they had called and canceled (very rudely I might add). The mother of the bride was told that the theee rooms they had reserved and confirmed were told that they had called and canceled (because I’m sure they called and canceled their rooms 2 days prior and still drove 150+miles anyways looking for a room). The room I stayed in smelt like it was used as a worm farm when it wasn’t being rented and had black mold around the tub and a water leak through the bathroom ceiling. Someone in the wedding party woke up with bug bites that are being reported to the state health department. I’m guessing there was a problem not long ago with bug bites considering that another guests room overlooked the back fenced in area that was full of mattresses, box springs and misc. furniture just laying scattered in the grass. Im just glad I didn’t have my children with me, there’s no way I would let them stay there. There are a couple other hotels in town that looked much cleaner and actually have someone working there with the intelligence to take a hotel reservation...
Read moreI would say if you can stay at one of the other hotels in town, do so. Usually when you block rooms for a wedding you get a discount rate. Which I asked when making the reservation and the gentelman I talked to on the phone didn't have a problem with the price I was told it would be. Show up to check in and it was a different higher price. (But atleast they had my reservation!) When asked about it, the lady just said no that wasn't the rate with no explanation as to why. She said she would talk to her manager but nothing more was ever done about it. The place definitely needs a good deep clean as smells are different when you walk into rooms and we aren't talking a good smell. Management definitely needs some work/classes/trainings on dealing with customers. When issues arose they made it seem like we were in the wrong or were lying. Other people with the party had it worse than me like not getting the room they reserved after driving all the way from the cities after confirmation.
