We had the chance to stay in the main house of the Virginia River Cottages and it was amazing. From the moment you turn into the drive you start feeling the stress slip away. Everything was first rate, clean and comfortable. The home was decorated in a way that you could spend lots of time wandering about and looking. It seemed like any and all details were taken care of. A full kitchen is there to support you if you wanted to cook. There was also a washer and dryer in the premises should you need them. The view was also spectacular and especially during sunsets. There is pier you can walk out and watch the fish or you can just sit back and enjoy the view and serenity. This is a great place for a relaxing weekend or week at the river. We started visiting about 3 years ago. We have friends' who live nearby and have a yearly get together. My husband and daughter fish off the pier and we love the peacocks that reside there and the sunsets. Suzanne makes sure you are well taken care of and are welcome to the area with recommendations of places to eat and things to do.
