If you are looking for the most uniquely fun wedding venue, look no further!! Camp Carmel Valley is hands down the best choice!!
As a a wedding planner myself, I have seen a lot- and I can confidently say that choosing Camp as our wedding venue was the best choice we could have made for so many reasons! From the very beginning my husband and I knew we wanted our wedding to be more than just a one day event and I wanted it to be like no other wedding that any of our guests had ever been to. My goal was for all of my guests to feel taken care of the entire weekend with fun activities and lots of love, so when we found Camp it felt like the perfect option for us! Obviously Camp Carmel Valley is absolutely STUNNING, with gorgeous oak trees and Spanish moss, how could you not fall in love with the scenery?! It is such a unique venue with the most quaint cabins, and great facilities throughout the entire venue.
Although the beauty of Camp is hard to compete with, the main reason our wedding was so incredible is because of their camp manager David!!! I don’t even know where to begin with how incredible David was throughout our entire wedding weekend. From the moment we arrived at the camp, it was clear that we were in great hands, but we could never have predicted just how much David and the rest of the CCV team would go above and beyond.
When unexpected issues arose, David swooped in like a true superhero- literally saving the day. He handled everything with such grace, professionalism, and total calmness that it honestly felt like nothing was too big of a challenge. Seriously, my wedding weekend would not have been successful without David, and I am eternally grateful for everything he did. I had the most amazing time because of him. I went into that weekend worried that I would be playing the role of both the wedding planner and the bride, but David ensured that everything was handled to perfection, so I could just enjoy!
Every guest felt taken care of, and we had the time of our lives, all thanks to David’s expertise and dedication. It truly felt like David and his team were 100% committed to making our day perfect, and we felt so supported throughout the entire planning process.
If you're looking for a wedding venue that is not only absolutely stunning but has the BEST camp manager who will be your rock, your calm in the storm, and your secret weapon to making everything run smoothly, look no further. David is an absolute superstar. Our wedding weekend would not have been the same without him. We are forever grateful! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Read moreA friend of ours had stayed at Camp at Carmel Valley last summer, so when we were contemplating a place to go to with a group of friends and families to celebrate a 40th birthday trip for many of us, we decided on Camp at Carmel Valley. We loved every moment there. There were about 25 of us in our group. ||||David, the Camp Director, was so helpful as we planned out our group stay during one of the Glamping weekends. Our group rented the Archer House, the Director's House, and multiple cabins. It was nice for our group to have a home base at the two houses - both homes had ample space, beautiful patios, and full refrigerator/freezers. ||||It was nice to have a camping experience where the food was taken care of; that was one less (major) thing to have to think about! Three hearty meals a day, plus a smores campfire every night, was a really nice touch. We did archery, swam in the pool, tie dyed both days, did yoga, went on hikes, read, relaxed and played together. It was a truly special weekend. ||||The caterers also offered to-go boxes for lunch, for anyone that wanted to take their food up to the pool, or offsite (another group there went on a beach day and I saw that they had their food boxed up for them that morning!). ||||We went over Labor Day weekend and it was one of the few Glamping weekends that was sold out, but even at capacity, the camp didn't feel crowded at all, even at the pool which was very spacious. ||||I would recommend this vacation to anyone looking to get away and 'camp', while not totally having to build a campsite...
Read moreI think the Camp has a lot of potential. We stayed 2 nights last weekend. I was part of a big group of families. Almost everything is great except the food. For our family alone, our food costs were $350 for 3 days 2 nights. I dont mind paying this, but the service was unbelievable. Food tends to run out. First i thought it was just a mishap. Then it happened every single meal when we were there. Our 2nd day lunch was just literally salad with LIMITED amount of chicken. I just dont understand. They have headcount. Why were they short on food by a lot? Secondly, the guy at the kitchen seems intentionally doing this. We have little kids in our groups. We were told milk will be available in the fridge at anytime. It ran out, then I asked for it.. I saw the girl was carrying a milk carton out. The guy stopped her and asked me if I just needed a cup. Yes I did need a cup. So he whispered to her to not put the carton in the fridge. Whats up with that?? Once i got mine, there are still other families need the milk. I thought it was rude. We paid absurd amount of money and it was supposed to be all you can eat. Its not like we are wasting it. The experience having to ask for food at every single meal is beyond me. I paid in advance, came within the designated time to get my meal. Yet, i still have to wait and wait and wait then swapped with something else. Too bad. But I wouldn’t go back here. There are other glamping place I have been to and it was way better experience. Other than the food issues.. i thought it was...
