Spring 2024: Our three-night stay in a pull-thru site provided ample space for our slideouts on both sides, with generous length. The property is impeccably maintained, adorned with lush greenery and numerous trees that evoke a tropical atmosphere.
As a gated community, the park boasts well-kept park models, maintained a quiet atmosphere. Although we didn't utilize the pool, its cleanliness was evident at a glance. The gym proved to be a standout amenity, featuring a wide array of weight-lifting equipment and cardio machines. Adjacent to it, a pool table provided additional recreation options.
The office staff left a lasting impression with their helpful, efficient, and friendly demeanor. While the park falls into a higher price bracket and is usually full during the winter months, it's well worth the investment. The proximity to Luke Air Force Base means occasional jet noise during the day, but it didn't detract significantly from our overall experience. Despite mediocre AT&T cell reception, we were still able to stream content on our Roku device. Overall, we highly recommend this park for its exceptional amenities and inviting atmosphere. Read moreHad a hard time finding a RV Park that wasn't 55+ in the Scottsdale/ Phoenix area that had wi-fi. Goodyear is located 35-40 mins West of the area I wanted but right off I-10 so easy to get to where I needed to be. I stayed in a Standard spot #57. No shade but a nice asphalt parking pad and concrete pad with picnic table and gravel separating the 3 spots in the area. It was near the dog area. Which were two small fenced gravel areas. And about 2 rows from the middle bathrooms and dumpsters. Further up is the laundry, pool, and front office. The office closes at 4pm. I arrived just after 4:30pm. They have a guard at the gate who assists arrivals after the office closes. Unfortunately, they didn't advise that I needed a key to utilize the showers/bathrooms. So, the next day when I walked up there they were locked. I walked to the office but it was closed. I spoke to the guard (a different one from the day before) who told me about the $20 deposit needed for a key. I didn't have my wallet on me so I couldn't get the key. I told him I was at 57 so if he made his rounds to stop. Later the gentleman Mike came around and I got the key. The wi-fi was very spotty but was able to work slowly so slightly frustrating. The wi-fi actually went out my last night and was still out in the morning. I called the office about it but the phones are connected to the internet so they weren't working. I ended up walking up to the office to find out it was some issue outside the park possibly something was hit. Inside the office though, there is a store with snacks, rv supplies, beverages, postcards and such as well as an adorable tortoise named Skittles. The pool area is nice, the laundry area has a ton of washers and dryers. The bathrooms are clean and showers decent. They say there are recycle bins by the dumpsters but I only found 2 dumpsters at least in the middle area. If one was for recycling it was not clearly marked and both were being used for garbage. I did find a paper recycling by the dog area. All and all the park is ok and would stay again if need be. The sunsets are pretty with the...
Read moreWe checked in after 5pm. Office was already closed. We waited at the front entrance. As we waited for the night staff Bill, to finish his personal conversation with his friends about 10min he finally very hastily escorted us to our site. We had just finished parking all of 3min the night staff Bill proceeded to very rudely explain the rules of the park. Starting with the sewer lines needing to be propped up. Could not be on the floor, and how the parking would only be allowed on the pavement. Night staff Bill continued to explain if we violated any of the rules we would be violating Maricopa County Rules. We still at this moment had not begun the process of setting up.
As we finished having dinner we decided to take a stroll around the park and take the kids to the pool. As we walked around we saw many patrons in violation of the strict rules Bill was enforcing as per Maricopa County. Sewer lines on the ground, and patrons parked in undesignated parking areas.
While at the pool facilities we decided to do a load of laundry. We started our loads about 9:15pm and saw the facility closed at 10pm. This would give us time to wash and we would dry back at the rv. The night staff Bill, pulled up outta no where at about 9:35ish. VERY LOUDLY and VERY RUDELY night staff Bill demanded we leave the facility because it was closing. This is when a verbal altercation with night staff Bill happened. I let him know that since we had entered the park he had been rude and condescending towards us. He had been racially profiling us. Insinuating we did not have the knowledge or equipment to follow the rules he and Maricopa County had in place for our RV home.
The threatening and continuous mentioning of Maricopa county reiterated our feelings of racial profilings.
To say the most our stay at destiny rv resort was very unwelcoming and unpleasant we left the next morning. We do not recommend Destiny RV resort to any of our fellow RV friends and family. We would not want you to experience this unpleasant and discriminating treatment from the night staff Bill.
We never met the...
