My partner and I stayed at Blueberry Hill Inn for one night and we had a wonderful time. There are so many beautiful walks around the property, through fields with Moosalamoo in the background, around the pond and through a path lined with mushrooms to the rustic sauna, and between apple trees, sunflowers, and blueberry bushes. The greenhouse garden that you see in many of the pictures is just a doorway away from most of the rooms and it smelled wonderful!
The rooms were the lovely New England style you dream for in a trip to Vermont and the sweet smelling soaps and flowers from Shari's garden were a personal touch to the stay, not to mention the views of the property, make it all homey and unique. We felt very comfortable, right at home, and slept very well in a cozy bed with nice clean sheets and pillows. Shari and Tony are lovely people and we very much enjoyed their conversation and company over wine and cheese at night and over coffee in the morning.
Breakfast was delicious and the presentation five stars!! Tim is a gem of a chef in the middle of the Vermont mountains and our breakfast was honestly the best meal we had all weekend--and we stayed at several other sweet New England inns! Top notch.
Shari and Tony have a magical place. Blueberry Hill Inn is a dream getaway you didn't even know you could have until you're there. Enjoy!
This is just an update (we stayed here again for two days in June). We had dinner both nights and the food was amazing. Shari, Chef Tim, and the staff were so warm, welcoming, and very accommodating to everyone's needs. The Blueberry Hill Inn is consistently a dream getaway and we'll be back as often as we can.
Another update! We got married here in September and it was MAGICAL. We'll be coming back to the inn for years to come. Everything was perfect. Shari and her team did a...
Read moreI have never felt so at home when I was away from home. Shari is a wonderful host. Very much a Vermonter that warms to you over time. Every evening when I walked through the front door I wanted to shout out "I'm home!" just to let her know I was home safely. We were staying at the inn while attending a wedding at Camp Thorpe just down the road. The rooms are clean and fresh with a real Vermont homey feel. The quilts are nice and heavy and the heaters in the room are very quiet. Great if like me you love peace and quiet. If you like white noise, bring your own, or open the windows a bit and listen to the bubbling brook (Erliblue Room) Also, there are no TV's in the room which added to the homey feel (I don't like TV's in a bedroom). Coffee and Tea available whenever you want and yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies. |Probably the favorite part of the stay was the homemade, farm to table, breakfast every morning. A frittata with tomatoes, zucchini and goat cheese and fresh herbs, maple smoked bacon, and paired with fresh cut up fruit, plain yogurt and homemade granola our first morning. Oh and a blueberry muffin! On Sunday we had Blueberry pancakes with REAL Vermont maple syrup, fried egg, and locally sourced sausage. Again we had the fruit and yogurt as well and a herb biscuit. All home cooked, just like Mom would make.||Would I go back,...
Read moreWe had our wedding here this past weekend - it was amazing! Shari, the event coordinator, was incredibly instrumental in helping us plan our wedding - we were living in Hong Kong while planning a Vermont wedding. She was helpful, efficient, kind, and gave great advice from her experience. During the wedding weekend, she organized things that we forgot about or overlooked in the craziness of planning a wedding and made sure all of the guests had a fantastic experience, as well as ensuring that the wedding went smoothly. . Along with Shari, the entire staff were fantastic. Everyone was friendly, kind, easy to talk to, and did their jobs incredibly well while seeming to really enjoy the environment that they worked in. The venue was gorgeous. Literally every wedding guest (80 of them) commented on this. There are hiking trails near Blueberry, as well as a swimming pond, a wood-fired sauna, and just gorgeous views of the Vermont landscape. All of the rooms were really unique and really pretty, and all of our guests commented on how comfortable the rooms were. Some of the rooms are literally right outside an active Greenhouse connected to the inn. We stayed in the cabin a few doors over, and it was incredibly comfortable and spacious. I would HIGHLY recommend Blueberry Hill Inn for a wedding, any other event, or just for a weekend. We cannot wait to go back and...
