My family stayed in the two connected rooms Look West and Skylight for a couple days of skiing at Mt. Sunapee. The guest house had lots of character both in the common rooms and the guest rooms. The Skylight room, with a very comfortable bunk bed, has no external windows, so you really need to keep the connecting door to Look West open and a window partially opened. It gets quite stuffy otherwise. The rooms are small but suffice. The bathroom is also very small, though it was all reasonably clean for such an old place. Unfortunately it lacked toilet paper, soap, and shampoo on our visit, though understandable give the shortage of service workers now. ||||The common area includes lots of charming places to sit and eat or relax, as well as access to a kitchen, but no cooking is allowed nor is there any food service of any kind at the moment. But if you can heat your food in a microwave or toaster, there's plenty of dinnerware. Coffee is also available 24/7. ||||There were LOTS of signs posted everywhere indicating what you shouldn't do in the house. All of it common sense so I assume it was meant for, perhaps, groups of young people on a ski trip who haven't otherwise integrated common sense into their behavior. (I was one once. We all were.) Anyway, it reminded me of the very long signs in Paris pointing out all the things you couldn't do in public parks, "Il est...

This was our first time ever going to New Hampshire and it does not disappoint.
My husband and I as well as our two year old rented one of the properties owned by the inn And let me just say it was honestly the best experience I have had staying anywhere in all of my travels!
Everything was clean & tidy , and it was very spacious for my family!
There is a beautiful little pond a few minutes walk from the inn and surrounding properties the scenery and surrounding landscape was breathtaking and so very peaceful and quiet & ultimately SAFE!
The overall best part of the experience was the property manager Kayla !
This woman is so kind and down to earth , she was extremely accommodating as well . She went above and beyond to help me out when needed and her kids and my daughter ended up being great friends , they shared their yard and toys with us and made us feel sooooooooo sooooo at home and welcome .
Her and her family are amazingly kind people you would be lucky to call friends !
If you are traveling to goshen or sunapee especially with kids this is where you want to stay hands down !
The inn itself is gorgeous and has such neat history attached to it .
Do your self a favor and stay at Brooke road inn I promise you won’t regret !! We will certainly be back!
Until next time thank you for...
Read moreOK, so I'm not a B-n-B person. Let's face it, some BnB owners are...weird. And I don't really want to talk to people I don't want to talk to, ya know? Well, The Brook Road Inn has a great solution to that. There's no one there! Communication with the Innkeeper, Cameron, was via email. Cameron was very responsive, clearly paying a high degree of attention and care. I was sent instructions on access to the Inn. There are some very nice sitting spaces inside and a lovely piece of land on the property to stroll and hang. The room was smallish but perfect with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was very clean, everything worked. Morning. Coffee Santa must've come down the chimney because there was fresh coffee made and it was good! Cameron, I think, has a cloak of invisibility? They are not, yet, set up for hot breakfast but there was fruit and instant oatmeal available. And not some cheap kind with nasty ingredients. Good quality! I really appreciated this attention to detail. Speaking of which, there was a stock of Health-Aide Kombucha in the mini fridge! Cameron, if that wasn't meant for guests, sorry, I owe you one! A very nice touch, if you like that sort of thing. Long story short, I would absolutely book here again. Kudos to the...
