I'm sad to say I'm only giving 3 stars. Overall the property and cabin was beautiful just as described. We stayed in the newly built Owl cabin for 4 nights. Unfortunately our troubles started the first night when we were watching a DVD and wham the power went out on one whole side of the cabin.||So its dark and cold and there's no phone in the cabin and no cell service, so you can't call the office. Not to mention the fact that the website says there's free Wi-Fi and there isn't (or at least non we were granted a password for). So we get up, get dressed and go up to the office to say hey we have a problem. My husband and I had already figured we blew the breaker but couldn't do anything about it cause the breaker box was located in a locked closet off the deck outside. The woman who is apparently running the office actually has her young son taking care of everything we assumed because she may or may not have understood/spoken much English. When we told him what was wrong he was certainly surprised and basically had no idea what to do so we suggested looking at the breaker and of course that's what had happened. We reset it and figured that was it, but nope it happened again and you guessed it. Up out of bed, dressed again and back to the office. This time we asked that he leave the closet unlocked so we could deal with it ourselves if it happened again and he agreed to do so. He also told us he spoke with his uncle who was actually the owner of the property and that he would be out the next day to fix the problem since we'd be gone all day. Great!!! Wrong!! When we returned the next day it was apparent nothing had been worked on and you guessed it, it continued to happen 4-5 times every evening/night that we stayed. Such a pain in the ass, especially at 10-11 at night when your tucked in bed and have to keep getting up to reset the breaker outside in the cold and rain. The best part is we couldn't communicate any of this to the owner who was there the last few days we were because he doesn't speak or understand English. My husband and I both tried to make the best of it despite all the BS but this definitely should not have happened. Certainly not in a brand new cabin and not for the price we payed to stay 4 nights. It should have been fixed as promised and since it wasn't at the very least we should have been offered a 20% discount on our stay for our troubles! The customer should not be responsible for trying to rectify the owners mistakes.||Mike and...

Read moreMy boyfriend and I stayed two nights in the Raven cabin at the Stormking Spa and Cabins resort. WE LOVED IT! Private hot tub with pretty string lights hanging over head. There was a small grill for cooking, a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils, glassware, a cutting board, and a large roll of paper towels. They provided freshly roasted and ground coffee, plenty of cream and sugar, as well as a variety of teas, and two almond-dark-chocolate biscotti. There was a large variety of movies and music available to choose from, we personally enjoyed watching Inglorious Bastards, Sherlock Holmes, and Star Trek. There were also some table top games to play. The furniture was comfy, the bed was warm and the pillows very plushy. We were provided a large spare blanket and an electric fan, the blanket was wonderful at night. There's a circular sky light in the center of the ceiling right above the bed, perfect for star gazing on clear nights. The bathroom was much more spacious than I expected, the river rock shower was wonderful and so aesthetic. There were shower robes and a large quantity of varying size towels for us to use. Of course they provided shampoo and soaps, but also a shower cap, makeup remover and makeup removing towel. There was even a basin, a towel, soap, and a sponge for cleaning dirty dishes. There's no smoking allowed inside the cabins, however you can smoke outside them. Our cabin had a bucket for ashes on the back porch, as well as a bug repelling candle we used quite often. Outside there were blue jays and squirrels that would hang out by the fountain. There was even a local bunny that would hang out around the property. It was so quiet and peaceful, my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. I definitely recommend the Stormking Spa and Cabins! It was perfect!...
