✨🎢 Throwback to 1961… when everything was bigger (and brand new) in Texas! Six Flags Over Texas first opened its gates in Arlington, and families were greeted with something they’d never seen before—an entire theme park built around the rich history of the Lone Star State. 🤠⭐️ Instead of today’s towering coasters, the early days were all about riverboat rides, stagecoach adventures, can-can shows, and the famous LaSalle’s Riverboat floating through a scenic frontier. 🚤🪶 Cowboys roamed the streets, saloon doors swung open, and guests traveled “around the world” without leaving Texas, with themed lands inspired by the six nations that once ruled over the state. And guess what? Admission was just $2.75. Yep, you could step into an entire world of fun for less than a fancy coffee today. ☕➡️🎟 From day one, Six Flags wasn’t just an amusement park—it was a full-on Texas adventure. 🌵🎶 Who else wishes they could’ve seen it in those first years? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ #ThrowbackTexas #SixFlagsHistory #Since1961 #TexasProud

We had reserved another campsite down the road and it was absolutely horrible it was called granbury rv villas. We couldn't even pull into the spot because of mud and trash. So we called over to Lake grandbury rv resort to see if they had a spot available. This was all transpiring at 10pm at night. Not only did they answer the phone this late but they got us in the one spot they had left and stayed up until we arrived to show us where it was in the park. The spaces were huge and had a concrete slab with cover. We felt so blessed to have found them and felt right at home with the care that was given to our family. My daughter was in a pageant that weekend and if we couldn't find a place we would of had to go all the way home. We recommend this place and would stay here again! Thank you again so much for your...

WE RECENTLY STAYED FOUR NIGHTS. UPON ARRIVAL WE HAD A LITTLE CONFUSION ON THE EXACT SPOT WE WERE TO SET UP OUR CAMPER. FORTUNATELY, THE OWNER WAS VERY KIND AND PROFESSIONAL, UNLIKE ME. BUT WE WORKED IT OUT AND MOVED TO A NICE SPOT AND ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE PARK IS TOTALLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THERE ARE MANY THINGS IN THE WORKS. ONCE THE PARK IS FINISHED IT WILL DEFINITELY BE ONE OF THE NICEST IN THE AREA FOR SURE. CONVIENIENCE TO THE LAKE IS A HUGE PLUS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ACTIVITIES ETC.. IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA IT IS RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE VISITING GRANBURY. JUST KEEP IN MIND THEY ARE WORKING THE PARK AND IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME BEFORE THEY CAN...
