Date of Tent Camping: 27/28Aug2024 Tuesday and Wednesday.

I stayed at Lower Loop #13. Water Spigot in the Men's Restroom Leaking, seems like it's been leaking for a while.

There is no Campground Host, maybe provide better amenities or services for them to make it appealing for them to host the place. There are trees, but might not be over your tent site, so you might get sun exposure. Bring an awning to put over the picnic table. It can get hot during the summer days.

No privacy, sites are pretty close to each other. This place is good if you need a place to stay while visiting the Grand Coulee Dam. The restrooms were clean and well stocked.

The upper loops is like parking your car or tent under apartment covered carports. I would not stay at the upper loop and if you have an RV or a trailer, your rig might not fit under the car ports. Make sure you're certain of your RV size and length.

The beach and swimming areas are very nice. The swim platform was 4 feet exposed from the water since the river is low. But you can still enjoy the beach. Good for family and kids. They have nice walking trails.

The sign at the front says campground FULL but there are MANY open spots. Please remove the sign to give campers a chance to look for availability instead of giving that we're full impression. If you want the campground occupied, remove that FULL sign before someone else remove it for you.

The views from the lower loop of the river is awesome. This place is nice for the views. The whole area is nice, just be ready to be next to your neighbor.

Go visit Grand Coulee Visitor Center, go on a power plant tour and go watch the laser show at night.

I will be back to stay if I am ever...

We reserved a spot for one night to rest after our 5 hour drive. We arrived around 7pm ish and everything was fine until quiet time. 10pm all the way to at least 3am there was a large group of people shouting and having loud, drunken conversations while people were trying to sleep. I tried white noise to drown out the obnoxious people and was still kept awake for 5hrs straight. We left at 3am completely defeated, exhausted, and sleep deprived. There was a loud diesel truck that was driving through the campsite making loops for no reason and revving very loud. The park rangers didn't do a single thing to quiet the noise for the QUIET HOURS. We were forced to drive in the dark, completely exhausted for 1.5hr until our next destination. These obnoxious, disrespectful, selfish group of people ruined this trip for us and we spent a lot of money on. The campsite itself can barely qualify as a campsite. More like a parking lot with covered parking and you can't even set up a tent and camp properly. I've already requested a refund and hope this review helps bring attention to the lack of responsibility on the park rangers end to maintain quiet hours and let people get the sleep they deserve. Zero stars. Also dogs were barking ALL NIGHT any time a car went by or someone shouted (which was constant). Camping is supposed to be relaxing and be able to immerse into nature. Not be surrounded by concrete and bird shit all over from people...

The good: million-dollar view...sites in the lower loop were a reasonable distance apart...couple trees here & there...inexpensive...peaceful.

The bad: very little shade. April 21st & the water still isn't on though there is a pit toilet. No campground host my 3 days here, so no one to ask where to get a shower, no one to hang a tag saying my site was reserved via recreation.gov - so I put a fold-out chair by my picnic table while I did a little sightseeing...I came back & someone had swiped my chair...10-year old nylon chair worth next-to-nothing, but still. Graffiti all over the rocks marking my site. No recycle bins anywhere. Picnic table was utterly filthy - bird droppings, jam, ketchup, & every kind of food stain imaginable...I scrubbed it for 10 minutes & it all came up. Nearby visitor center closed & no rangers anywhere. Many sites were quite sloped.

Frankly I wouldn't hesitate to come back here & I REALLY enjoyed Lake Roosevelt NRA but I myself didn't have the greatest campground experience. Safe travels,...

April 1st, 2024, for 6 days. Perfect peaceful stay. Great for fully contained boondockers. We were challenging ourselves in our little trailer how well we could manage on our limited supply of water, food, power management, etc . The camp was deserted except for a few harty folks who stayed a night or two. The weather was cool with occasional rain showers. Fishing was not great. However, for me not fishing for 20+ years, it didn't help. I was a bit rusty. A park ranger stopped by and said that even the folks with boats didn't have much luck either. He complemented us on our trailer and said that he was getting one like ours in May. It was also nice to have Grand Coulee so close that we were able to go purchase a few things we decided we wanted for our meals. We had a very quiet, cozy stay in our little trailer. We hope to go again this fall. So we hope to see you boondockers out there. In one of my photos, we caught Bigfoot peeking at us.😁

The place is very chic to stay, one thing I didn't like is a lot of different wood floating in the section where the boats are launched, my advice is to be very careful when you launch the boat so that this debris does not get into your boat and cause it to crash. Attention for those who have jet skis, my advice is to find another place, and I strongly recommend not to launch jet skis into the water here until all this rubbish is cleaned. Pieces of wood were pulling in our jet ski, and we had to dismantle a lot of things to get this garbage, really after that the desire to bring more jet skis to this place disappeared. For me, the main thing is that I don’t want any of the vacationers here to get into the same situation as we are. I really hope that the Washington State will put order here and people will not get into situations like us….

This is an amazing campground to swim at! Ample beach access with lots of picnic tables and shade from the trees. However, due to the location, like the name suggests, its on a hill side and from the parking lot to the beach- its pretty steep in areas, use the stairs provided. Great dock to jump off of when the water is high. The park has some bbq grills and one large covered pergola with a grill near the restrooms for larger parties. A very small play structure is also here. I knocked down a star because the "wheel chair access"/ wagon access to the grass towards the beach is very steep. If in a wheel chair you would definitely need someone there to spot you to make sure you don't tip over. Also, the bathrooms are a bit far from the beach but then again, I get it, the location of the park limits locations of bathrooms.
