This is the fifth straight summer we have stayed here, our third as KOA. This is our retreat, our escape from the hustle and bustle of life. We have stayed in four different sites, all with full hookups, all on the outside of the lower loop. We tend to stay to ourselves, and the outer sites enable one to feel a bit more secluded. Read moreMy family and I traveled to 15 states on a road trip. We tent camped and stayed at mostly at KOA’s. Our favorite spot ended being Grand Lake KOA. The Location is awesome very close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake. It’s very clean, maintained, quiet, wildlife on property (moose), safe they lock the doors at night but can unlock with a code, very friendly staff. My kids want to come back. I think another reviewer was complaining about mice which I did not see. We did see 2 Pikas or maybe Voles they were quick, but not a complaint. You are in the wilderness you are going to see animals, bugs, etc. If you don’t have smaller animals then you won’t have larger ones. I hope to visit again...
