Beautiful...love the river in the summer here. All campground spots are great! It's close to the Mt. Loop hwy so expect to hear a few cars and some crazy drivers trying to achieve Nascar speeds! All campground spots have fire pits that are grated for grilling. There is NO CELL reception here. Hoodoo does a great job hosting for the Ntl. Forest Service keeping everything clean. Toilets flush loud so if you're near them, you'll hear the late night flushes. Waste management doesn't come til Thursday so if your there Tuesday and Wednesday expect the dumpsters to be full. Firewood is $6. Your supposed to only burn theirs but people clearly brought their own.

Horse flies are extremely big and aggressive here. They bite hard. They are territorial so if you take care of one, you won't have to deal with another for a little while. If you go for a walk around the campground they will follow you. Baseball caps work great for knocking them out. Mosquitos start coming on strong around dark so bring your bug juice.

All in all a great...

I really love this place. There's no showers, no cell service and no electric access for tent sites which is pretty normal. They have potable cold water. No place to wash your dishes so bring a little tub so you can do it at your campsite. The river is nice for cooling off. Would recommend getting a site by the river since others are close to the road. I felt the size of the sites were spacious and private. Lots of local trails. Depending on time of year you go, check for road and trail closures due to things like wildfires. You may need a gas stove because sometimes campfires are banned during the...

Nestled in along the twists and turns of the Verlot River, the Verlot Campground boasts amazing views with minimalist camping perfection. There are bathrooms easily accessible, with flush toilets, potable water spouts, and communal dumpsters. Of course being so close to the water, the mosquitos were mosquitoing ๐Ÿคฃ but a little citronella will do the trick! While I couldnโ€™t see bringing my 40ft trailer here due to size restrictions (contrary to the website) it was perfect for the roof top tent set up! Small bonus (to me) this was out of cell reception ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป so it was nice to...

Being fellow โ€œ RiverRatsโ€ my husband and I love camping in our RV here! There are many sites right on the river with sunshine pretty much til sunset. There is a pretty nature walk that takes you along a stream and the river to the campground next door, Turlo. The are nice bathroom facilities but no electricity or showers. The camp host Greg, is very friendly and helpful. We love that it is a smaller, cozier vibe in the beautiful woods of Baker National Forest just a short jaunt out of Granite Falls and the spectacular Fish Ladder falls!
