We were so pleased with this campground. It was quiet, peaceful and the owners, Calvin and Jeannie, were outstanding. We booked for a long weekend that began on Friday. Our problems started on Friday night when we noticed that some of our overhead lights were dim. My husband and Calvin began checking the electrical connections and noticed an odor of burnt wiring in the compartment where the charger/inverter is located. It didn't take long to figure out our inverter was failing. Of course, no repair facilities could be found that were open over the weekend so we sat for 2 days trying to determine a course of action. On Monday, the day we were scheduled to leave, we woke up to find the house batteries were completely drained, the refrigerator had shutdown, and the generator would not start. The owners told us our site was available for 4 more days and that they had experienced similar problems themselves. We ended up staying one more day to make repair arrangements, and they refused to let us pay for the extra night.
THANK YOU so much to Calvin and Jeannie for their kindness and understanding! We hope we can pay it forward. We hope to visit your beautiful park again soon.

Read moreOur stay at Northern Bear Paw RV Park was the BEST! Calvin and Jeannie are very hospitable. So easy going, easy to work with, talk to and the hardest working camp owners I have met. They keep their camp ground so clean you forget you are at a camp. The grounds are beautiful. The park is quiet. And the cabins are like staying in a hotel room. After camping in tent, pop up and small trailers, we decided to sell the trailer and camp where cabins are available. This one spoiled us forever! Beautiful wood, very nicely decorated and the king bed and bedding was very comfortable. Our site had plenty of room for all our friends (6 other couples) to have potluck meals together, gather around the campfire, play cards and cornhole and not be crowded or bother other campers. The pond and frog conversations where so relaxing. If you are looking for relaxation, or hiking, or biking, or beaches, you don't have to drive far. Take the time to visit this relaxing RV park. Oh, and the bathrooms are as clean as yours is at home, maybe cleaner!!! Thanks Cal and Jeannie. We look forward to seeing you...

Noteworthy pros: the bathrooms and showers are by far the cleanest I’ve seen at any campground. You can tell the owners put effort into maintaining them. Even with children playing, the campground was generally calm and quiet. Everyone was friendly and respectful. I’ve seen reviews talk about the dusty road, but it’s gravel. If you drive the suggested limit, it’s fine. All of the sites have a good mixture of sun and shade. The entire campground was very clean and very nice. Serene and beautiful! Didn’t have a chance to make it down to the river this trip, but we have another craft show over Labor Day and I am glad I booked this campground already, so hopefully I can see it then since I’ve heard it’s beautiful! Definitely will stay here...
