To be clear "Rooms" are RV sites for me. Spacious, clean, level and DRY (even in torrential rains).
We stayed at a nearby cabin site many years ago. Fell in love with the area and always wondered what this property was when we drove past. Well, it was this...in the making. All the experience of what we fell in love with, only now in our RV with the family instead of a cabin, all with a pool and restaurant/bar onsite. For us, the perfect harmony of luxury and rural since you can see moose anytime you want, and in numbers within about a 15 minute drive in any direction (we'll skip discussing the star gazing amazement because it's just something you need to see).
Also, don't forget about proximity to downtown and all the charm it offers. Some pretty good eats, too (and a decent Bloody Mary for bfast). Boat slips are available as well, right in the center.
Great job to the ownership and staff! Please don't lose the charm and perfection of what you've created. We'll see you again in August, and then again next July and August. We love it, the kids love it, and we can't share enough praise for what you've done.
Update 2025: this has become our second home and they have added more sites this season. The family and I remain just as impressed as we have been and ownership and staff continue to do amazing work keeping the quality high while also continuing to expand. New sites remain large and they have added another bath/laundry facility to support it. WiFi hasn't slowed down enough to stop a Zoom or Teams meeting, either, so def a place that still supports...
Read moreEverything thing here is 5 stars…. Other than the nickel and diming. After reading other reviews it always seems the response is “read our terms and conditions”. I’m sure everyone has. But not all rules need adhering to. The staff is following orders so my frustration would be at the owners. We stay here 2 + weeks a year. This last weekend when you were at I’m guessing 20% capacity I asked your front office if I could have a late check out. I was told for $10 per hour. I told her I was un hooked from power and sewer and would even move to the site next door that was open so they could clean the site I was in to be able to visit one of the state parks. She said for $10 an hour. I asked about parking in the over flow lots which were completely empty she said no. I asked about the field next door where you allow boats and atvs she said no. So I went up to the Indian hill trading post and asked John. He said “ya sure park over by the propane tank”. Sometimes a little goes a long way. It wouldn’t have put you all out at all to let us leave the camper there. Glad to see that there is still some “small town and small business practices”...
Read moreThis is a wonderful place. Someone really thought this through when laying out the design. The property is immaculate and well maintained. The roads are smooth and wide. The sites are spacious and well spaced from each other. The wifi is great and up to date. There is a open space where seasonals tend to be camped. We had site # 131 a back in site and we loved it. Awning side has no other units next to it. Just woods. Felt like our own private spot. There are many pull through sites very nice but less private. Then there are the back in sites that are very nice and offer quite a bit of privacy. The bathrooms and showers were spotless as was the laundry. The only draw back was that the restaurant on site had very limited open hours. And the one day we were told it would be open they never opened. That said in town there are several places to eat. One of our favorites was Jamos's Pizza although a small place and take out only they have great pizza and other sandwiches. Its a beautiful...
