I have such a mixed review about this place but I think with a couple adjustments could be awesome! First the view..I mean priceless. Absolutely gorgeous from the porch! The porch on the other hand was infested with spiders. I’m from Maine. I get it we have spiders. But a little sprucing up of the deck before our arrival would’ve been much appreciated. I kept myself to one viewpoint while I stood out there. The soaps were watered down. I super appreciate them supplying these things but the Dawn dish soap was pretty much water and the hand soap in the bathroom was watered down as well. There is no WiFi. Shame on me for not researching more and I should have never assumed but I found out last minute so I wish this was more outwardly posted because I think like myself and many others may assume! We had called before we arrived to see if we had a tv and dvd player since the weather was not on our side upon arrival and we had a toddler with us we definitely needed some sort of entertainment. The only tv was a fuzzy 24 inch in one of the bedrooms with a dvd player that skipped and didn’t play all the movies. We simply moved the tv but would’ve come more prepared had we known. The cabin also was very damp feeling. The blankets felt wet. I assume from the rain and humidity. We tried the trail to the water. It is directly down a very steep hill and is very challenging to get back up. We had hoped to haul our kayaks to the water from our cabin. This was a big selling point for us. Unfortunately that was not able to be done. There are a few spots a few miles up the road that are totally worth the drive! Just unexpected! After a day of adrenaline-fueled exploration, nothing beat returning to the cabin to relax with a beer and cigar, under the stars where there is zero light pollution. Surrounded by the silence of the wilderness, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility like never before.

The attention to detail at Northwoods Maine Cabins was top-notch, providing comfortable bedding that ensured a restful night's sleep, necessary supplies, and I felt like every aspect of my stay was carefully considered.
