Southern Comfort Inn & Resort — Hotel in Greers Ferry

Absolutely awesome!!!! We rented one of the one room cabins for a night and couldn't ask for more. The kitchenette was very well stocked with pots/pans/glasses etc, even had salt and pepper shaker. The bed was awesome plenty of fluffy pillows. All plumbing worked excellent. We were there on a busy summertime weekend and in the cabin we had it was absolutely silent all night long. No loud vehicles, no parties, silence. Plenty of bath towels. Very friendly staff.

Now for the negative, and there isn't much. First the TV while it was a relatively new Samsung smart TV, the only programming available was Samsung Free TV, which is basically all of the freebie stations you can get on something like Pluto. No local stations, no news networks. With all of that said, we didn't come to Greers Ferry to watch TV so it really wasn't that big of a deal for us, it might vary with others Also, had very intermittent internet service ie TV service on a Sunday morning. I do not blame the hotel for this, just a matter of available infrastructure.

Overall, I still give it 5 stars, it was well worth the money.

My husband booked 2 nights here and invited 2 other couples to join us for a day on the lake celebrating my birthday. We came off the river early due to storms and my daughter and her husband came by to visit and enjoy a meal with us. The owner came to our cabin and very rudely wanted to know why we had so many vechiles there when there are only suppose to be 6 staying in the cabin. In a failed attempt to explain they had stopped to visit that they were not staying he called the cops and asked us to leave. He got in my husband's face and used offensive language.
