What an amazing, unique experience! The environment is loaded more than expected. The treehouse is quite beautiful and very clean. I was impressed with how fully stocked it was with all the supplies we needed for a weekend stay. To begin, they were very responsive to any questions we had leading up to the trip and even arranged for someone to wait and greet us onsite upon our arrival. Excellent service by young Mr. Peyton who acquainted us with the grounds. Our first night, my boys were excited to start the wood grill so we could make s'mores. Weather was perfect, and though the house and property are surrounded by tall trees, we could still feel the fresh breeze roll in. The windows allow you to see everything looking out, so that adds to the ambiance of nature. We even saw owls swooping across, it was pretty cool! Our second day there, the site staff (Peyton) coordinated a time for us to prepare in advance to visit and feed all the animals, and worked around the expected rain for the day. My boys had a wonderful time learning how to fish for their very first time! Their little ponds are stocked with bass, catfish and bluegill. With a local bait shop nearby, we were prepared to catch. Although we brought our own fishing poles, we were surprised to see that they even have several fishing poles there readily available for use, in addition to relaxing plastic lounge chairs and even a hammock to relax and unwind as nature continues all around. All the animals are so friendly, with the exception of the one male lemur, but we were forewarned about that little guy. While we fished, we were even greeted by the resident (geriatric, no doubt) tortoise who just strolled up alongside us as of to ask what we were up to! It is quite an amazing thing to get this experience with animals we are not normally accustomed to petting. Never in my life did I think I'd get to pet and snuggle a kangaroo in Texas, nor did I ever think my boys would get to hand feed blueberries to lemurs! This was an unforgettable experience that I truly needed to feel more connected to nature and God. Thank you to Texas Unplugged for this experience...

I can’t say enough about how incredible our stay was at Texas Unplugged. My family and I had the most unforgettable experience — from the peaceful nature surroundings to the beautifully crafted treehouse, every detail was just perfect.

The property is something else — cozy, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed. Whether we were enjoying the hot tub, sitting around the fire pit, or simply relaxing on the balcony with a cup of coffee, we felt completely at peace and connected — with each other and with nature.

And Talent, the owner? Absolutely amazing. His kindness, hospitality, and passion for what he’s created here shine through in everything. He made us feel so welcome, like we were staying with an old friend. His love for the animals and the land is truly inspiring.

From feeding baby kangaroos to exploring the trails and just unplugging from daily stress, this place is pure magic. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.

If you're even thinking about visiting — do it. You won’t regret it. This is one of those rare places that truly...

We had such an amazing experience at Chari Ranch! The treehouse is so relaxing, the grounds are so beautiful, and it really is just the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with family and nature. We loved walking the trails, cooking our meals at the campfire, enjoying the views from the porch and swing, and last but not least: learning so much about the animals! Talent is an amazing host, allowing us to feed the animals, pet the animals, even walk a giraffe! He cares a great deal about each one and is extremely knowledgeable about them! He is also very attentive and cares about the comfort and satisfaction of his guests. This place is unlike any we have ever visited: the privacy, accommodations, and unique experiences with the animals is unmatched. For our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids of elementary age), this is exactly what we are looking for in a vacation to get away and unplug. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We will most definitely...
