Royal Inn Motel Chambersburg — Hotel in Guilford Township

This definitely is a place you stay when your stuck between a rock and a hard place. Its not a hotel you just want to come stay at, BUT if unfortunate circumstances happen where you find yourself needing a roof over ur head, then I 100% recommend you come here. The weekly rate is a little cheaper then others, the staff is very nice and best of all THEY ALLOW PETS!! Of course a small fee is added, but its worth it if you are TRAVELING with a DOG!!! I gave them 3 stars bc of the price, has free wi-fi&TV, close to amenities. Staff is super helpful, nice, respect your privacy and UNDERSTANDING!!! plus allows pets!!! Drawback, the rooms. They are small, and could use an upgrade. Overall, they serve their basic purpose, but don't expect anything fancy. There's a bed, flat screen TV, desk, small area to hang a couple items, mini fridge, microwave...

The owners are blatant THIEVES. After (foolishly) paying for a room for a week, the manager came to my room TWO days later, claiming I owed them money for the day. Even after being shown the receipt, they still attempted to make up all sorts of excuses to try to extort money from me. The rooms are littered with roaches, the air conditioner doesn't even work, there's mold on the walls and in the bathroom vent, and SO much more wrong with this place. This motel will make you wish you were staying in a Baltimore...

What a mess. No blankets on the bed. Simply bedsheets. There was a half inch of dust in the headboard. The bathroom appears to not have been scrubbed in a month of Tuesdays. There are no apartments anymore. The rooms are small with no closets, no sink in the bathroom and the refrigerator does not get cold. As bad as the room was the customer service made me feel better. Anything I needed they were quick to get or help. WiFi...
