Triple H Retreat on Cedar Creek Lake — Hotel in Gun Barrel City

Over the July 4th weekend, my family booked Triple H Retreat for a going away party for my 14 year old daughter. It was the perfect place for her to say goodbye to her friends. Everything about Triple H was absolutely wonderful, from the house, to the location on the lake! I loved how cozy the home was and how cute all the decor was. How light switches and kitchen cabinets are labeled, how everything I needed to cook was there. The girls loved the bunk room and the kayaks! I enjoyed the master bedroom and bathroom, it was like a luxurious hotel room, elegant and the most comfortable bed! My Dad and I drank coffee on the dock and watched the sunrise every morning. Excellent option for vacationing with multiple families, enough space for all! We traveled with our toddler, in-laws, and small dogs; toddler stayed in the 2nd bedroom while the in-laws (late 60s) enjoyed the awesome bunk room. They loved having a sofa and table in the bunk room, it felt like their own private suite along with having a separate thermostat in the room to keep the temp comfortable. The host had ALL supplies well stocked and switches/cabinets labeled to take out the guess work of being in a new place. The water was extremely low during our stay which provided an awesome “beach access” to the lake, steps from the porch. One of the best places we have stayed. Finally a rental that has all the supplies you need and they went the extra mile on all amenities. Safe location. Close enough to the store for things you may need. We cooked most of the time and then drove into Ft Worth for lunch at the stockyards one day. My sons fished, swam, and enjoyed the kayaks on the water. This was the coziest place! Truly relaxing and we enjoyed every minute spent here.
