This was our first time with Hackberry fishing & camp. I have a physical disability so they put us on the bottom in the lodge my family members were up top in the upper two rooms. The lodge we stayed and was beautifully decorated full amenities such as refrigerator, a stove , garbage disposal , plus all the utensils, your liquid soaps. I'm the bathroom they proceeded your toothbrush, deodorant, floss, makeup remover, toothpaste, trash bags, anything you could possibly need they provided. The living room had a massive TV with all kind of apps and channels stuff for everybody to watch including the kids. The rooms were super clean they mopped and cleaned from roof to floor and allowed us in there a little earlier after the cleaning lady had finished. She did a fantastic job. The outside area had multiple barbecue pits, heavy duty lawn chairs to sit, picnic tables all overlooking the intracoastal waterway and the boat launch where it had a full-length dock all the way down to the bait shop. My family and I took a walk down there one night and started fishing. We caught some sting rays, drum, but threw them back.. it was so much fun. We made memories we'll never forget and we will be back next memorial Day for another stay. I highly recommend anyone staying with Chastity ..she was so nice and helpful.. let me explain.. I'm diabetic and lost my insulin.. she went and looked and did everything she could to try to find it.. just got lost in the pack up I assume, but I appreciate that she went that extra mile to help me try to locate it.. To conclude you couldn't find nicer people to be around and a better place to stay then at Hackberry fishing and camp. :)

10 years ago, I discovered Hackberry Fishing Camp and Marina. It is a very fine, upscale facility with excellent employees and customer service. Every time I bring my friends or customers, they are extremely impressed. The fully stocked kitchen and outside gas grills, only add to the beautifully appointed accommodations. There’s nothing better than grilling the fish you caught that day while enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Calcasieu. The location, next to the free public boat launch, puts you only minutes from prime fishing. The addition of the new bait shop, stocked with live shrimp, etc., is the most convenient place to get the necessities you need for a day on the water. I highly recommend HFC and marina. Small groups to large groups can easily be accommodated. Give them a try. You will not be...

We’ve stayed here four times now, in both Lodge 1 and 2 upstairs, they’re always immaculately cleaned and have all the comforts of home. We love that we can bring our beagle, the pet fee has gone up to $50 but that’s still reasonable considering the cost to board your pet for a weekend. They have live bait, a boat stall is included with your rental and the boat launch is right next to the camp. We heard they’re thinking of getting an ice machine and that would be a great addition! Highly recommend and we...
