Loved this place! For a free almost roadside riverfront camping this was an amazing find! Relatively quiet (there was minor road noise even though we stayed as far from the highway as possible) with fire rings and several pull-thru type spots that suited our needs perfectly. The vault toilets were some of the cleanest we’ve seen anywhere and the sights were clean as well. Read moreIt's primitive camping. Mosquitoes, stone fire rings, wildlife, plenty of shade, the usual. Grab a spot, no numbers. Basically quiet; some road noise, people chatter. Only stayed one night; would stay again. The vaultroom, vault toilet, is super clean. Kudos to whomever is in charge of that job. I gave it a four because the mosquitoes are super annoying. Read moreWe had got a late start so when we saw Stanton crossing campground it was a welcome site. We chose a site next to the road , walking distance to the restrooms.. Was a good sunset and evening. Then the campers next to us got into a fist fight sheriff came arrested one of them. They where packed up and gone in the morning. I am sure alcohol was involved. I would stay here again without hesitation. P. S. Also BIG beatles .. lol girlfriend...
