It's clean. The staff seem friendly enough except one lady who guided me to my site and then yelled at me four times telling me I'm backing my camper in wrong. I got it in. First time with this rig, and I got it in four. I've owned two other campers before. I'm not new to this. They do deliver the firewood you purchase, so that's nice. The sites are right on too of each other. No privacy. Odd number sites in the area I was in had the electric and water shared with even number sites, but I had to walk around my electric and water hookups the whole time. Not the end of the world, but not ideal. It's a membership only campground. Trying it on a free offer. Not sure I'm sold. They do have goats on site. So that's awesome. They have a nice playground area. You can rent canoes on any day but Sunday. Jesus walked on water, so maybe that's their thinking behind that. They claim to have kayaks, but we haven't seen one on any visit to the rental area.

The worst experience ever. They catch you with a bait and switch. We responded to a post card for free 7 nights and only got 3 nights so I booked labor day weekend. We had to attend a presentation which is ok, but they were forcing it on a day we could not be available. If we didn't attend we would be charged $125 per night. The manage Nikki is rude, not customer friendly, everything was policy, policy and no empathy to the situation. She had the conversation in front of guests and her staff. What a leader right. Most of the people said I can't help you I am just the sales person. That is a red flag folks. We have stayed in many RV campgrounds and this one had no major amenities and the rvs were squeezed in very closely together. I did reach out to corporate and spoke to Dedra who was very nice and apologized (the only one). Beware of this place. Read the BBB reviews before you go if you have to.

We have been going to this beautiful camp ground for many, many years and have allot of wonderful memories from throughout the years. We since moved to Arizona but you better believe when we visit home we always stay at Ham Lake Campground. If you want a nice and quiet place to camp, where everyone is friendly and has everything you need, this is the place to be. Oh wait, i forgot Sadly this year we found out that it has been sold with many changes. I want to say good bye to all original peeps and thank you for so many amazing years. Our memories at Ham Lake Campground will never be forgotten.

We visited Ham Lake Campground over the 4th of July weekend in 2013. We loved our site and all of the fun activities they offered. However, the groundskeeper was cranky and made us feel very uncomfortable and not welcomed whatsoever. We have camped our whole life and have never had any issues like we did at this place. All of the other workers were friendly and made us feel welcomed - it was only the elderly man who treated us this way. We had children with us and we felt as if we were children getting in trouble by our parents. It was degrading and humiliating since he was not discreet & made a fuss over nothing. Because of this, we will not return to Ham Lake Campground. Do not get me wrong - we respect the security, slow speed limits and quiet hours rules they enforce here. But we did not appreciate being told to go to sleep by 11pm (asleep - not quiet time), refusal of selling wood to us (at 8pm on Saturday night) and all of the other little things that kept happening that finally pushed me over the edge. As if we were being outcasted as rude guests. Just to clarify & explain one encounter - it was only me & my husband awake, no fire, quiet cell phone music on (soft, mellow acoustic music), enjoying each others company while children were sleeping inside. We were told to go to bed and throughout the whole weekend, he would tell others about "us". Including our children...he would say things to them or in front of them that was completely uncalled for. Every time we turned our head, he would be there saying some kind of rude comment. At one point we wanted to leave early but paid for our spot and didn't want to ruin the family weekend. We are a family of five in our thirty's - not partying 20 year olds causing problems. Needless to say, this was our first & last time coming here which is a shame because it is close to home and we enjoy camping throughout the summer. I guess we will have to find an alternative camping ground for our next trip...

This company called my cell phone without permission and without checking the national Do Not Call Registry. They first identified themselves as "Grand Destinations" and then when I agreed to attend their presentation, told me they were Midwest Outdoor Resorts. They also called with a spoofed phone # in Hinkley that didn't work when I tried to call back. I did not attend their presentation, instead, I notified them that they were violating my privacy rights by calling me with an ATDS. At that point, they lied about what number they called and said they didn't need permission to call (wrong). To this day, they continue to lie and have never provided any proof in their defense. Do not do business with this company. They work with a company called Gunn Marketing Group who hires call centers in Pakistan (admitted) to make illegal cold calls to sell their timeshares and lie to consumers, all of which violates our privacy rights. We as consumers need to take a stand against deceptive practices like these. If you have been deceived by this company, I encourage you to take action by filing complaints with the BBB, FTC, FCC, Attorney General and even the courts under...
