The best word I could use to describe this campground would be nostalgic, which I like. This campground reminds me of the scout summer camps I'd go to when I was young. That being said, don't expect to be wowed by a resort experience. There is no team of "home for summer" college students orchestrating weekend activities for the kids. The large lake is dual purpose for both swimming and boating, there is no swimming pool. An arcade is available offering video games, pool and I think air hockey. The camp store has the necessities. There is a playground but not like the mega-structures you find today, think metal slides and wax paper and a simple a-frame swing set. If you're looking for the less-is-more camping experience or are looking for something close to boon-docking in a state forest campground but want full hookups with the best WiFi I've experienced, then this is it. Now why did I only give it 3 stars? Because the campground IS basic and nostalgic and it really could use some revival. The roads could be better maintained and the overgrown ball field could be better taken care of in addition to most of the grounds, like thinning out some trees to make larger RV units better able to maneuver. The bath house could use a little TLC. Also, there are a handful of campsites where either people live there permanently or seasonally but they are true eyesores, namely the site with the "parts car" under the popup canopy. There are other sites with just old as dirt campers which should've been asked to leave the campground a long time ago. For these reasons, plus the "simplicity" of the campground, I feel the rates charged are a little high. Especially when you can camp at neighboring campgrounds offering more for the same rates. All in all, I would go back to...

Read moreIf I could give less than 1 Star I would. This place is filthy. The bathrooms are not fit to use. The showers are coin op and even then there is no hot water. We have a trailer do we are all set but there are a lot of tent campers here and they are left with no choice. There are no amenities. The playground is in disrepair, there is no sporting type area, the entire park is just run down and sad. There is a leak quote on quote to swim in but it is man-made shallow warm in the water is brown there’s so much mineral in it that it’s awful it’s not refreshing at all. It ever ties itself is a Christian camp ground and apparently what the owners think Christian means is there a Bible verses tacked to trees in the area. They advertise that they have Wi-Fi and they give you a password when you check-in to use one device to sign onto the Wi-Fi and it’s not even good Wi-Fi signal is awful. I chose to come here from their website and I feel incredibly blessed down betrayed miss lead we drove here over 300 miles from Massachusetts to have time with our grandchildren and a nice fun safe campground and that’s absolutely not the experience that we’ve had the sites are shallow they’re small it’s incredibly difficult to get a trailer of any size parked properly on the sides and a water hook up was that the next site over we had to hug three houses together to get water on our site the site we paid water sewer and electric for also the electric is 30 amp service if you want 50 amp service you have to pay additional every single day and being that it was 100% humidity the whole time we’ve been here we need to run an air conditioner definitely need to have the higher amperage. Again if I could give this place less than one star I...
