My wife and I recently spent a night at “Time after Time,” a Bed and Breakfast tucked away in Victor, MT. We found and booked the place online after searching for something unique and memorable in the area, and it definitely lived up to that promise in more ways than one.
First impressions were fantastic—the property is absolutely spotless. Every corner and surface was immaculate, and you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in keeping things in tip-top shape. Our room was a real highlight, filled with beautiful antiques that gave it a cozy, old-world charm. It felt like staying in a lovingly curated museum, but with all the comforts you’d want for a relaxing night away.
One of my favorite parts of the stay was unwinding on the backyard patio. It’s a peaceful spot, perfect for sitting back and taking in the Montana air. My wife and I enjoyed smoking cigars on the back porch, which made for a great, laid-back evening.
Breakfast the next morning was amazing—delicious, hearty, and clearly made with care. The only catch was that the hostess is a bit strict about coffee refills, so if you’re someone who likes to linger over a few cups, be prepared for a gentle nudge to slow down.
Speaking of the hostess, she’s a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, she’s incredibly helpful when it comes to directions and offering local insights. If you need advice on what to see or do in the area, she’s got you covered. On the other hand, she tends to be a little too involved in your stay—checking in often and hovering just a bit too much for our tastes. If you value your privacy, this is something to keep in mind.
In terms of logistics, there’s plenty of parking available, which made things easy for us. However, there’s no Wi-Fi, so plan to unplug for the duration of your stay. The price was on the steep side, but honestly, the unique experience and attention to detail made it worth it.
A word to the wise: while we had a memorable stay, I wouldn’t recommend “Time after Time” for guests with children. The atmosphere and the proprietor’s attentive style are definitely better suited to adults who appreciate a quiet, curated space and don’t mind a watchful host.
Overall, if you’re searching for a quaint, antique-filled escape and don’t mind a bit of close supervision, “Time after Time” is a charming choice. Just be ready for a hands-on experience—and maybe bring your own extra...
Read moreWe SO enjoyed our 4 nights and mornings at Time After Time. We were in town for a wedding and family reunion. We found this B&B to be super well-located for getting around the area, while being tucked away in a woodsy setting just far enough off the highway to deliver quiet and a feeling of seclusion. The Dragonfly Cabin feels very "Montana." It's cozy, stylish and comfortable, furnished with fine but unstuffy antique furniture and [silent] clocks. Trish, the innkeeper has thought of every detail for guests, such an array of complimentary drinks in the little fridge, lots of towels (including a dish towel), good hanging space for clothes, two fan options to keep the cabin comfy and little mosquito-repelling burners for evenings on the porch. Note that the cabin's system does not support long showers and there is no AC, but we didn't find these realities to be a problem. Breakfasts are plentiful and original, prepared and served with genuine care. Trish is an interesting conversationalist, with experiences from her pre-innkeeping life to share. Some of our relatives stayed at rental homes, but we were happier with our...
Read moreOur stay with Trish at "Time after Time" was absolutely fantastic. The cabin we stayed in was decorated so cute. It was spacious and very comfortable. It had all the creature comforts that one could want. We stayed on July 4th and the temp in the room was great, fans worked great. Love the open fresh air and not getting dried out by air conditioning. The bed and pillows were super soft and comfortable. The shower was also superb! The cabin was near the main house, but it felt so private. We had a beautiful view of a grassy yard and pines. The porch was really relaxing to sit and listen to birds and watch deer. Super quiet. Very safe as well..no worries for break-ins.|Trish was a lovely hostess. She was a wealth of knowledge on anything you needed to know. Very helpful and friendly. She ensured that we understood how to operate everything in the cabin. I cannot rave enough about her breakfasts that she makes! Talk about having a five star breakfast....we felt really spoiled and lucky. Simply amazing place to stay ... it is like staying with family. We can't recommend this B&B...
