When checking prices, we checked the rates with my kids added and without and the price wasn't any different. The reservation was made without the kids added, by mistake, but since the price wasn't any different, we didn't think it would be an issue. First, we got called by the owners and they left a voicemail and we ended up feeling kinda bad because we were visiting with my in-laws before checking in (and it wasn't even that late, like 9pm) and then we show up and was told the kids would have cost more when I know for a fact they wouldn't have but I didn't want to argue with them so I just apologized and she made it seem like she was doing us this huge favor by letting us still stay. I'm pretty sure I left one of my kids tablets here but there was so much stuff everywhere that I probably wouldn't have found it anyways lol We really really enjoyed our night there though. We stayed in the detached bungalow, which was just the garage turned into an extra space to sleep. The door opens into the bathroom which would be kinda awkward if you were sharing the space with a few friends that come and go at different times but for us it wasn't a huge deal. There was tons of yummy food to eat and lots of warm towels and lots of toiletries to use. All-in-all, I would definitely stay here again, the price is amazing for the place, but I would check in earlier and make sure I add the kids to avoid any issues...
Read moreScott Creek Farm is a unique property where you can enjoy a quiet and peaceful backyard garden or walk by a babbling creek. We were greeted by warm, welcoming hosts who familiarized us with the property and led us to french doors that opened to original wood floors and magnificent old-world canopy bed adorned with exquisite quilt and pillow shams. An eclectic mix of French and German styles, quality antique furnishings provide enough storage that we could have stayed for a month. Comforting foods were provided, including a coffee maker with fresh ground coffee, bagged tea, a quart of milk, fresh fruits and muffins, and miscellaneous other snacks. The bathroom is very large and fully stocked with personal care products. It was truly a once in a...
Read moreScott Creek farm B&B was a wonderful and whimsical experience. Their home is full of statues and fun little oddities that my husband and I loved. The room we had was in the house but separated with our own doors to a private porch that we could come and go freely without troubling any one. I love that they are pet friendly and were both patient with my yapping dogs. My only gripe was the coffee maker popping the breaker whenever we used it but in the grand scheme of things that wasn't a deal breaker. A couple miles from their home is a cool food truck station with around twenty food trucks to try out. We didn't bother going any where else to eat. This was a wonderful visit and I would...
