Had a great stay overall! We stayed on a Saturday night and Sunday night. Sunday morning's breakfast was scrambled eggs and sausage links. Monday morning's breakfast was scrambled eggs and bacon. They also offer juices, bagels, and coffee. We enjoyed the breakfast both days, but be advised the dining area is TINY (just right by the check-in counter), so you may want to arrive early or take your food back to your room.
The staff was friendly. The room was clean. I enjoyed my pillows but found the bed to be uncomfortable. My fiance enjoyed the bed. Our room (#121) was great overall. We had a lovely view of native greenery that was right up against the window, so we actually left the curtains open the entire time. The pool was nice, but it would be better if they provided towels (must still be a COVID thing). I woke up warm and thirsty Saturday night but was unable to purchase any bottled waters or vitamin waters, so I drank tap water. I saw they were restocked for Sunday night.
The parking lot was ample. The same litter was near our car for two days, so I cleaned it up prior to checking out. The surrounding area is gorgeous---please don't litter!
The area surrounding the hotel is peaceful and outlying suburban in character. The hotel itself is quite noisy inside. We heard every cough and fart from the hallway outside our room, and on Sunday night and Monday morning it sounded like the people above us were taking tap-dancing lessons.
Our room featured a Jacuzzi tub. It worked well. The air conditioner/radiator is modern and efficient. There is a room safe, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. The bathroom has a nice showertub and double vanity.
Be aware that Google Maps will take you the wrong way to the hotel. The hotel's entrance is on STATION ROAD---not the Bayfront Parkway! If coming off I-90 take the ramp to the right to Station Road and then turn left into the parking lot---there is no parking lot entrance off of Bayfront Parkway. Also be warned that a state trooper sometimes sets up a speed trap on Bayfront Parkway inbound just behind the "Welcome to Harborcreek Township" sign off the I-90 exit.
If you are looking for good ice cream nearby head to The Double Dipper! The GetGo just up the Bayfront Parkway from the hotel is new and is well-stocked if you need beverages or snacks beyond what the hotel offers. For something cool and that is only about a 25-minute drive away consider Panama Rocks park. Lots of fun!
We will stay here again if venturing back to...
Read moreFirst, let me explain why I issued this hotel a 1 star, because 0 stars wasn't an option. When checking into the hotel I was placed on the second floor when asked where the elevator was there wasn't one. With my health condition I am unable to do stairs well, I was given an attitude like I was faking it to get on the first floor. Then they placed me at the very end by the exit door slamming on a continuum. Now, to the additional issue regarding my stay.. This hotel states they are pet friendly. Not at all pet friendly, this is the reason why. While I was in town visiting for work, my pets were in the room. I wasn't aware at all they were disruptive. I come back to the hotel after a full day of work to find my key disabled. Following that I went to the front desk and was then informed that my dogs had barked from 10am-2pm by the front desk personnel. I asked why nobody attempted to call me to let me know. I was then advised that I cannot leave my dogs unattended in the room while I was there on business. And that the head housekeeper had an issue regarding my pets. Unprofessionally handled by the hotel staff, placing me next to a exit door that slams on a continual basis and expecting a dog not to bark at a strange noise is impossible. Following my key being activated I was then told if my dogs barked at all that night or the next day I was to be asked to leave. So, I took it upon myself to simply check out and I found a much cleaner and pet friendly hotel. This hotel advertised a pool, and yet never worked. The way the staff handled the entire stay is unacceptable regarding this location. Telling someone that their dog cannot bark while having their room next to the only working exit in the location is ridiculous to say the least. There is no apology greater enough to change my mind. I am writing this review so others know not to stay here if they have a pet. Mine are retired show dogs who have travelled on a regular basis its not like they are some unruly pet. The owners of this chain should be ashamed this is how their staff handled my stay. I went from staying there a week to just one day and moved my entire week stay to another hotel. So staff caused the...
Read moreThis is the worst hotel I have ever been too. ( This coming from someone who travels alot) The pillows are very flat. For the two days that I stayed there, I woke up with a stiff neck each day. The customer service was poor. It's like they didn't even try. The first day that I was in the hotel I had left early in the morning and returned in the afternoon and my garbage had not been taken care of, or the towels replaced. When I called the front desk they said that we were supposed to be putting that stuff out in the hallway and that because of covid they could no longer come inside the rooms. They offered to take care of it. I had to call back 5 hours later and ask where the stuff was. They said they had forgotten and would bring it up. Took them an additional 45 minutes to bring everything up. When I was on the phone asking for them to bring the stuff up the first time, I asked about the swimming pool. They said that the pool would be open in about an hour. The pool was still closed that evening. So I called and asked when it would be open. They said by late tonight or by morning. Went down in the morning and it was still closed. Left the hotel around 11 and it was still closed. Came back around 4 and the pool was finally open, but when I went in the pool had some kind of chemicals in it that caused me to have a rash. The only reason I picked that hotel was because of the swimming pool. When checking out of the hotel the person at the front desk didn't even ask about our stay or anything. When I called the hotel about getting a charge on my card, which happen 7 hours after I left the hotel, the person who answered the phone was very rude and didn't seem to care about her manners. I honestly wouldn't reccomend this...
