First, let's start with when I reserved the spot, great. Told them I would be late as we had to get off work at 5. They said it was ok. The day we were due, they started calling around 2 pm to know where we were. My husband had to leave work early because we felt we were being rushed now. He got there before me (at this point now we had to drive separate). They gave him the wrong code to get it. When I got there, I couldn't get in and whoever was in charge of the gate acted like such an inconvenience to her to let me in. Let's get to wifi, sure, they have it. But it wasn't until we checked out that they decided to let us have the e password .. and then we had to ask. Noone was available at the office the multiple times we had a chance to ask. We were trying to camp, too. Too many permanent people there. We felt like outsiders in a campground, of all places. When I did finally get to talk to someone, "how dare I Bother her" was the the feeling I got. I wasn't greeted with kindness or openness at all. The wifi password is nowhere posted. I did not mind the gray tank emptying, as I saw others post, but it did drain slow and back up. I was more disturbed by the line of people blocking the way out when trying to dump the waste tank. And the fact that my husband was asked to move his truck because, even though it was off the road and in front of our travel trailer, in our camping spot, they did not like where it was. Not a bad camp spot, as far as actual camping, but everything else could...
Read morePreviously in this review, I mentioned some things they could work on, and most of those things have been fixed. The only thing left from the previous review is that the gravel is a bit annoying when you are riding a bike. Other than that, the basketball hoop is brand new, they are working on the pool (as I know of) and the playground is very nice.
The spots are a bit close together, but the people that camp there are nice, so it's really not a big deal since you are most likely to make friends with them. Also, in the area closest to the front, there are only a couple of fire pits, making you share with your neighbors.
The campground is small-medium sized compared to a lot of campgrounds I have been to, and the camp store is located somewhat in the middle of the campground. I have been here several times and every time I have been here it has been very good, so I would recommend this campground.
Also, I would divide the campground into three sections. The first section is the one that you enter the campground into and the other two branch off of the first one. The first one is not heavily wooded, while the other two have a pretty good amount of trees. This information is as of when I was there, so if you are reading this at a later time you may find the campground to be different than how I...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay. Everyone was very nice and super flexible. Peaceful (many seasonals). Some sites in gorgeous trees others in more open area. Looks like they are putting some updates\investment into this older private campground. Free coffee and free popcorn in the camp office (very small little store with essentials if needed, drinks and ice creams), craft on Saturday (no charge), breakfast for Father's Day on Sunday (no charge). Minimal wifi near camp office. Super cute little pool - very well maintained with new patio furniture and beautiful landscaping. Curb trash pickup before 7pm, gray water drains and water at each site. We came in late Wednesday night, no issues... Left late Sunday due to the convention we were at in Columbus, no issues. Nice playground and volleyball net and horseshoes and basketball court. The bathrooms are interesting, running water, but RV toilets (?). Showers are nice, separate from bathrooms, but good warm water. If\when we come back for the same gaming convention in Columbus (only 30 minutes away!) will likely stay again! Thank you for your...
