Encore Tropic Winds — Hotel in Harlingen

I rented a 1 BR park model. Vanessa helped me in the front office and communication was great. The resort is very well maintained. There are some full time residents and some seasonal, and their homes and gardens a beautiful. I did not use any of the amenities like the pool or activity room, but the areas seem welcoming.||Everything in the unit was great. Essentials were provided in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The mattress was comfortable. I travel with my own pillow, so I can’t comment on those. ||The thermostat was not working properly and maintenance was on top of it fixed it right away. I’m one who needs white noise and air moving to sleep and Vanessa provided a fan.||Great service.||Traveling this is so much better than staying in a hotel.||I highly recommend...

This is a SENIOR park. Sites are very short in length so you have to park on your patio. Grass areas are null and you cannot park on the dirt. Lots of construction noise from trailer houses (park models) being added. The Activity director works hard keeping old folks entertained. Encore sister parks have higher levels of entertainment but seniors sit with arms folded. Not much fun or interaction. Pool, hot tub and laundry room are worn and too small for this size park. We've enjoyed our time here this past month.. Great activities, many good concerts and dances at reasonable prices, nice sites, well maintained.. Great phone cell signal(T-mobile) 140 Mbps down and 40 up, multi channel cable included and I could go on and on.. Only knock is that your rig is parked on grass and your tow vehicle and patio is on concrete slab.
