Boulder Bluffs | Jasper Cabin Rentals — Hotel in Harrison

My girlfriend and I were so grateful for the opportunity to stay at the Boulder Bluffs- Kelly’s Cabin over NYE weekend. We had an amazing weekend exploring the rolling bluff mountains of Jasper, AR and all within the comfort of one of the most scenic cabin views an outsider could ask for. The cabin entrance peers out to miles of mountain bluff’s and is one of the most beautiful views for sunrise and sunset. The cabin was well heated for the weekend and the surrounding residents were extremely welcoming. My girlfriends favorite part about our recent stay was our unexpected friend, Larry!! A sweet sheperd mix who greeted us every morning, driving down off the mountain. The only thing I would recommend staying here is to have a 4WD vehicle as it would be somewhat difficult getting up the mountain in a sedan. I would also be prepared with food and supplies for each night as I would advise against traversing down the mountain after sunset. This goes for any rental in Jasper as every road to a residency is somewhat difficult to traverse in the limiting conditions such as fog, rain, or simply the darkness. If you are a big hiker like my girlfriend and I, this cabin is conveniently located just miles between some of the best trail systems within Jasper, Ponca, and Compton. If you are truly looking for a weekend experience secluded in the wilderness but want the benefits of a cozy cabin. This is right up your ally. We had the best short little stay at the Cedar cabin! It was the perfect peaceful getaway for a couple of nights to stay with access to the trails we wanted to do before we headed down to Hot Springs. After staying being in the area we definitely want to come back and do more exploring. It’s such a beautiful area and we didn’t even scratch the surface of what we wanted to do. The cabin was cozy and as described. The last hill is a STEEEP INCLINE.. but nothing a Tacoma couldn’t handle easily. The leaves were changing despite the massive drought they are in and some color is way more than we are used to seeing in MS, with all the pines. Can’t wait to stay again! This is such an awesome location. The drive there is definitely recommended for at least an AWD vehicle, especially if it gets wet. The location is absolutely stunning, as there is an overlook that looks on a valley/down the mountain. The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and just a nice time being able to disconnect from our busy lives. We got to meet George who helps maintain the cabins, and we also met the owners.
