Quiet place for dispersed camping. I went on a Monday and Tuesday night and was the only one camping. A couple people came and swam during the day and I saw two groups of people floating the buffalo that passed by with a friendly hello. Water level is low of course during the first week of October 2023. But that is expected. There is one campsite here with a picnic table and fire pit. There is also one vault toilette, no water. Fast food and grocery stores plus gas stations located 10 miles from here. You can set up camp anywhere you want including right on the Buffalo River. Always pay attention to the weather AND to the weather upstream from you when camping, floating, ect on the Buffalo River. Water on this river can rise quickly during times of heavy rainfall. The river can rise unexpectedly when areas upstream of your location receives heavy rainfall. Use common sense out here...
Read moreI can't express the Love I have of coming and camping here it's a extremely beautiful place I almost don't want to write a review of it because I don't want more people coming but I will lol so hopefully decided to come enjoy this campground it's sandy with river rock areas plenty of unique and fun places to camp and then you camp on on of the most beautiful places with high bluffs surrounding you the fishing is great day and night when the rivers not up and flowing so fast..do be mindful there are caves in the bluffs and I do believe they have frequent owners so be mindful of bears ..other than that please pick up your trash and help us keep This Gem in great clean...
Read moreThe location itself is beautiful and has a big sand and gravel bars to camp on freely. Unfortunately, since it is free, more isolated, and doesn't have park ranger patrolling, seems like we see more trash and people aren't as likely to follow general camping etiquette such as quiet hours. Still definitely worth a visit if you don't want to pay the usual park...
