Very clean campground friendly staff. Suppose to have a pool that is not in yet so will be more fun when it is accomplished and I would up my rating to a four. The small swimming lake has not been treated or tested so it's swim at your own risk does not look enticing to me. There is a fishing pond, but you are not allowed to fish after dark for some unknown reason. There is basketball putt putt golf and volleyball for the kids and pool table foosball and air hockey that you can not play during bands or evening entertainment activities for again unknown reasons. The restrooms are clean but very small the showers are clean but have a spoiled egg smell but again very clean . Get rid of the smell and get the pool in and take away a couple nonsense rules easily a 4.5 oh yeah also a snack bar with ice cream and light snacks like pretzel with cheese ice cream I think I saw pizza on there too. They could easily add things like nachos chili cheese dogs sloppy Joes and may even do so later on...
Read moreMy husband and I stay at Wildwood Outdoor Escape frequently during the camping season and have always had a great time at this camp ground. Jim and Linda have always went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They are always trying to change things up by having special dinners for all the campers. Our church has for the last two years had our Labor Day Campout at Wildwood and they have went out of their way to allow us to use the pond for baptisms and also allowed us to all camp together. We enjoy camping at this facility. If we ever decided to park our camper on a permanent site this would be my choice of camp grounds. We feel very that is a family oriented camp ground and feel that our grandchildren are very safe when we stay here. The other campers go out of their way also to make you feel welcome. Thanks Jim and Linda for all that you do for everyone who stays at...
Read moreWe were here for 5 days over Memorial Weekend. Lots of rain but hey its Indiana in May. Our site was a premium site and was great. Full hook ups and on gravel. Yes some of the sites were a little ok a lot soggy but the owners did everything they could to accommodate the campers. They have no control over mother nature. They no longer have the swimming hole but they put in a nice pool. The two fishing lakes were fantastic. Caught a few very large bass but threw them back as they were nesting. We pulled many blue gills and a few crappies out. Kept a few for dinner and probably threw 20 plus back. They had lots of activities and the band on Sunday night was very good. We were able to sit by our fire, have glass of wine and enjoy the music. Our first time here and won't be our last. Keep up...
