The Inn at Clearwater Pond - Quechee VT|August 2023|My husband and I were looking for a last-minute anniversary get-away. We didn't want to spend a lot of time driving and wanted to combine a visit to our goddaughter. In a little over 2 hours the drive to Quechee, and The Inn at Clearwater Pond, looked promising. ||I spoke with owner and Inn Keeper Tina and, after letting her know we have a 15-year-old, 10.5 pound Chiweenie, we were booked for August 5th through the 8th. We were given the Lilan Marin Suite - which was perfect for us and the dog. She asked if we would like anything upon our arrival as far as beverages and/or snacks. She also followed up with a very detailed email with info about our stay, things to do and places to eat in the Quechee/Woodstack area. The grounds were peaceful and rambling with plenty of places to sit and relax. ||We arrived with a cheese and fruit plate w/ crackers and seltzer waiting for us and continental breakfast in the morning. The room was beautiful as was the rest of the Inn. Quintessential Vermont - all designed by Tina. There is a lovely detached cottage that we may look into next time. And there will be a next time! :) We highly recommend staying at the Inn at Clearwater Pond. ||Tina - thank you so for the perfect weekend. And, Sam, thank you for being a gracious host for Koko. ||Jenn,...
Read moreWhat a beautiful, relaxing space Tina has created; we couldn't have felt more at home. Our sincerest appreciation for all the little details she has invested that make a place this welcoming. ||Friday night we ordered takeout at Angkor Wat restaurant; would highly recommend. The rain cleared and we discovered a small park alongside a river very close by (just across the street?). A park with a dedicated labyrinth and picnic table for the three of us (dog makes three). Was quite a sweet discovery.||Saturday we had reservations with Worthy Kitchen, but the rainstorm and intermittent electricity outages had other plans as our reservations were cancelled. We did though find our way to Ransom Tavern (Kedron Valley Inn) for delicious pizza by way of some adventurous truck loving mountain roads w/downed trees. Would have made for a great video game track.||For all the reasons shared in other reviews - come...
Read moreMy wife and I have lived in Florida for the past 33 years so we don't get to see much color in the leaves. We took our first trip to the New England area the first week of Oct to go leaf peeping. Our first two nights were in New Hampshire and our last two nights were in Quechee at Tina's Inn. I highly recommend staying at Inn at Clearwater Pond. The 200 year old house was beautiful, inside and out. You can tell that Tina takes pride in what she does. Our room as well as the whole house was very well managed. She was very helpful with things to do and places to see. I started a fire in the backyard each night we were there. I had bought a bundle of firewood while we were out shopping, but Tina's husband brought his John Deere buggy over with the bed full of firewood and told us to use what I wanted. He stayed and chatted with us for quite a while before he headed off. You will not regret...
