I had a hard time determining a rating for this campground. I can totally see how some people would rate it higher, and I almost did. Generally, everything about the campground is....fine. We stayed in a deluxe cabin, which isn't as deluxe as it should be, in my estimation. The was not enough storage, the AC was loud and struggled (though it was quite hot the week we were there), and there really should have been an oven. The pond was absurd. Useful for fishing only. The sites themselves were very close, with very limited privacy. Luckily there were many open sites while there, as when fully booked, you would definitely feel like people were on top of you. The staff seemed great, definitely the best part of the campground. I realize that they bill themselves as a base station, and not where you'll stay all day, but there really needs to be a bit more to do on site. The pool was adequate, but not noteworthy. The real let down is the wifi. It is borderline useless. Almost impossible to stay connected, and even when you are, the speeds are laughable. I read other reviews mentioning that it's impossible to use it for work, but figured it couldn't be as bad as they said. I really need the ability to work when I travel, and the wifi is so bad that it alone would prevent me form ever staying...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at this KOA. This stellar review will no where come near to matching the kindness and care that the KOA staff showed to me and my family during the 2023 Columbus Day Weekend. To make a really long story short, my 8 week old son suffered a very traumatic event that landed him at the Dartmouth PICU for 11 days. This near death medical emergency happened while on the grounds of the KOA. During the emergency responders arrival, the staff and other campers were so helpful and caring. They are part of the reason my son is still with us today.

Needless to say, my husband and I were not planning on staying at the campground for 11 days but when we knew we would be in the area indefinitely, the KOA staff managed to find empty sites (during one of their busiest times of the year — fall foliage) for us to move our airstream to and they also let us extend our stay past their season closing date. From the staff prayers, to the kind letters, this KOA made an unbelievably hard time somewhat more manageable. I am forever indebted to them for their kindness and I look forward to bringing my now 13 week old son back next year for a much more fun and...

Update!! I’ve changed my rating to 5 stars, because of the outstanding customer service. I contacted them today (2 weeks after my stay) to say I lost a bumper sticker we had purchased, and could they send us one as a replacement. Their response was speedy, and their level of customer service went above and beyond resolving this issue for me (which was totally my fault and not theirs)!!!!

Original post: We stayed here this past weekend and we loved it! The campground is clean and the staff could not be more friendly or accommodating. They take you to your site, help you park, and are so helpful with deliveries, trash removal and more. The sites are spacious, and some are really really nice with patios, decks, Adirondack chairs etc. We absolutely scoped out which sites we want for our next trip! 4 stars instead of 5 only because the playground and pool are a little small and I’ve been to 1 or 2 KOAs that have a few more activities for little ones on site, but there’s so much to do nearby that it doesn’t detract from the camping experience. Lots of different ways to stay (RV, tent, cabin etc) make this a KOA you won’t be disappointed...

Real rating 4.5 star. The good: the staff was absolutely hands down phenomenal friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! The grounds were beautiful kept, clean, neat and beautiful! The bathroom clean, neat, bright and nice! The cabin we stayed in quaint, charming, warm and welcoming! The cabin had AC, HEAT, fridge and a TV! I will say the mattress was unbearably firm to the point we had to go to Walmart and pick up a mattress pad. The facility said they’d look into replacing it however if you get sore like I do on firm mattresses I’d recommend bringing some extra padding with you. The only other thing was the showers weren’t very hot. I took a shower at about 6:30 before everyone was up and the last shower on the end didn’t get very warm or once I got it almost hot it didn’t stay hot. Not unbearably cold but not hot enough either… I would stay here again! I would recommend it. I would just add to my recommendation if you stay bring a mattress pad.

We had such a great stay here in one of the pull thru sites. The size of the campground isn’t massive, which allows it to have a nice feel to it. The sites are spaced out decent enough without feeling on top of each other. The dog park wasn’t too bad either. Plenty of room to run around and full of shade during the heat of the day. The camp store was nice and it had some small things that you might need in a pinch. One of the great things we liked about it was the gift basket you could purchase. It had some great items from local farms like cheeses and syrups. It was so good we had to go visit the farm where they were made. The playground was a good size too and my kiddos had a blast playing on it. The place they visited the most was small fishing pond where they could catch frogs and crawfish 🦞 Overall it’s a great spot and we’d definitely come back again.
