Had a situation happen with a dental retainer at this hotel. During my stay- it disappeared. I kindly asked the front desk what may have happened while I was out, and they said they didn’t know. Being a dental hygienist, I wouldn’t just leave it anywhere, misplace it, or lose it. They aren’t cheap. Anyway I left for about 6 hours, came back and my room had been cleaned and it was missing. I think it may have been accidentally knocked off and thrown away (clear and made of a type of plastic- I can understand). They were of no help when I asked them to foot the bill of this situation saying it was “lost” or left. I had stayed there on a Friday night. Saturday morning I had it by my nightstand, I come back Saturday afternoon and it’s gone. So I stayed that night INTO THE NEXT morning (checking out on Sunday). I called the manager 3 times, when she was suppose to call me back. Then the district manager (or someone) called me, only to let me know nothing will be done probably. He supposedly submitted some claim and said I’d hear back in a few weeks. Never did 🙂 not surprised to be honest. I called again and the manager was out, just wanting to check on the claim. Never heard yet again. Such a longer story to this- but the fact of the matter is, horrible customer service, super rude when it came to me being blatantly honest about it, and asking them to pay for this item (around $300.00). Idk why someone would go through all that trouble only to lie about losing something like that. I wouldn’t stay here again for the simple fact of me feeling like I wasn’t a customer but more of a nuisance. Hope anyone who stays has a...
Read moreI had a great experience during my stay at the Cobblestone Inn in Hartington, NE. This trip was for business, and the location was absolutely perfect for our needs.
The room was spotless and well-stocked with everything I required. Although I did encounter an issue with empty shampoo and body wash bottles, the housekeeping team promptly resolved it as soon as I notified them.
The manager, Julie, and her staff were incredibly accommodating, making sure our stay was comfortable. I also appreciated the bar area, which had a nice selection of beers and other drinks at very reasonable prices—plus, they even offered a non-alcoholic beer, which was a thoughtful touch.
The hotel’s convenience store area was also a highlight, stocked with snacks and other essentials at great prices. Additionally, there’s another convenience store within walking distance—just keep in mind that it closes before 10 PM CT.
Breakfast was satisfying, with a good variety of options to choose from. One small suggestion: adding a warming tray would help keep some of the hot items at the right temperature.
Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend the Cobblestone Inn for anyone traveling to the...
