A Truly Unique and Unforgettable Experience at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club, and I must say that it was a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Nestled in a beautiful and serene setting, the resort offers an incredible atmosphere that will captivate your senses and make you feel like you've been transported to a fairytale land.
Upon arrival, the first thing that caught my attention was the immaculate and lush landscaping. The resort is adorned with a plethora of flowers, grasses, and exquisitely decorated trees that create a magical ambiance. The attention to detail in every aspect of the resort is simply astounding, and it is evident that a lot of thought and effort has been put into designing this charming haven.
The resort's layout features separated rooms, which provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As you walk through the resort, you can't help but feel a sense of tranquility and relaxation. The internal view, with its picturesque surroundings, adds a unique touch that makes the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club stand out from other vacation destinations.
While the food at the resort's restaurants didn't quite meet my expectations, and the menu was somewhat limited, it did not detract from my overall experience. The surrounding area offers a variety of dining options, so it was easy to find alternatives outside of the hotel.
It is worth mentioning that the beach at the resort leaves much to be desired. However, the lack of a pristine beach should not deter you from considering the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club as your next vacation destination. With so many other delightful features and amenities, you may find that you won't miss the beach at all.
In conclusion, despite the cons of a subpar beach and limited food options, the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club offers a unique and unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression. The enchanting atmosphere, beautiful landscape, and secluded rooms more than make up for any shortcomings. I will definitely be returning for another visit and encourage others to experience the magic of this...
Read moreUpdate: the resort called me and financially compensated me for the inconvenience. This is a great gesture and well received. Something I would expect from a 5 star resort and very nice. It doesn't make up for the inconvenience of my stay but great service. I truly appreciate the outreach and helping making the stay better for both of us. I may return in the future.
Initial review Besides my room being infested with ticks and other insects, the experience was great for my friend’s wedding, but that is all that was good during my stay at this formerly great resort.
I would have expected more from the front desk, engineering and housekeeping other than moving rooms at the last second before a wedding. We missed the part of the ceremony due to the huge inconvenience.
My best friend spent over $150,000 there for his wedding and we got treated like an inconvenience to the staff. The room moves were horrible and not taken seriously. The engineer told me that I needed to take a tick to the front desk to have them look at it. I am NOT going to do that. The room that we were moved to was a lower grade than the one we booked. As a former employee of the establishment, I would have never expected such subpar low-grade service.
At check out the person at the front desk handed me a bill with no inconvenience adjustment until I asked for it. I received $160 off the charge, which is equal to the room we ended up in downgrade charge. Rachel at the front desk was rude and dismissive to our concerns. My wife has a heart condition that if infected with any disease would kill her. I explained this to Rachel and was just dismissed as just another idiot to her. The service in resolving this was horrible.
I will be contacting all review sites with this message as well as EOS investments.
The staff that was actually nice and accommodating to us were not happy working there and looking to move to Wychmere, they were not shy about telling me about the horrible working conditions.
Do better for your guests and treat your staff with respect. I WILL NEVER RETURN taking my business and extensive referrals suggesting...
Read moreIf you're looking for a 5-star resort on Cape Cod, THIS IS NOT IT. While the grounds are lovely, that was the only pleasant part of the stay... And we didn't even get to enjoy it because our "premier garden view" room was anything but. The Wequassett takes a lot of liberty with both the word "premier" and the word "garden." We did walk through some gardens to get to our room, but the view from the room itself can only be described as "forest." Or maybe "creepy, neglected forest." As for "premier," that typically suggests that something is the very best. This wasn't even close.
The carpet was filthy, there was a bug in the room, someone's used contact lens was stuck to the bathroom floor, the furniture was chipped, the sink filled up with water as we brushed our teeth, the towels were small and dingy, the linens were subpar... I could go on. The room was neither clean nor well-maintained, all for the outrageous price of $795.00 per night (not including taxes and fees)!!
If you're a person that actually knows what a 5-star resort should be like, the Wequassett won't fool you into thinking it belongs in that category. Even once we emerged from our cave-like accommodations, the experience was not worthy of 5 stars. The pool was crowded to the point that the lounge chairs were literally touching one another, the beach was minute (held maybe a dozen chairs), and many of the staff members were exceptionally snide.
In fact, when we attempted to voice our concerns, we were met with indifference, to say the least. Part of what sets 5-star resorts apart from just decent hotels is service -- particularly how the staff handles problems. Rather than expressing genuine remorse and attempting to make things right, the staff at the Wequassett made it quite clear that neither our business nor our feelings were of any importance to them. The Wequassett feels almost like a slightly more upscale version of summer camp; it did not have any of the earmarks of a 5-star resort. If you're looking for a true 5-star experience on Cape Cod, I would stay far away from the...
