I came here for a silent retreat. What I wanted was no phones, not computer and no people. I got everything I needed and more. I arrived and followed the instructions to go directly to the spot. The site is extremely nice - extraordinary in fact. There was a Bald Eagle sitting in a dead tree to welcome me and the wildlife and sounds of the forest soon blotted out all the sounds I needed not to hear. This was a wonderful weekend.
The directions are good. Be careful not to navigate based on the GPS pin. You will need a canoe the last 100 yards if you do.
Plenty of space to park and set up camp. Firewood was available in the treeline not far away. The “facilities” are a short car ride away. Manageable. H&C water, sink, shower and toilet. Clean and modern.

Read moreGrove Point Stables (GPS) is awesome. Liz is amazing. The camping is top notch, the sunsets are breath taking, the ride to the beach is fantastic, the xc jumps are fun. Close by you have Chesapeake City for nightlife and Broken Spoke Winery is one of my favorite venues with live music and good spirits. The cove and point are private and beautiful.
