Don’t hesitate with your stay here. Definitely the best place to stay at on the big island! Ive stayed at many places, airbnb, hotels and resort, this was by far the best! This is basically your own private 5 star resort! Luxury bathrooms and pictures wont do this place justice. Wait till you see everything with your own eyes, you’ll be blown away! You will also be hard pressed to find any luxury stay that could rival with the privacy and views this place boasts all over the island! Also chad (host) and his lovely wife are the best host we EVER had! Definitely made our trip better staying here and added to the magic of the island. Also there is black sand beach WALKING DISTANCE from the property! I found Hale Laule’a originally on airbnb where they have 100s of reviews all 5 star. Side note, the stargazing from the peninsula on property is some of the best on the whole island. From the property the milky way was the clearest I’ve ever seen it. We saw the brightest shooting star of our lives there and we’ve seen over 20+ shooting stars in our day. We were actually at Joshua Tree a month earlier, which is known as one of the best stargazing hot spots in the world. We saw the milky way at Joshua tree. However I can tell you without a doubt the stargazing just from this property is unequivocally better than anything we saw in Joshua...
Read moreWe stayed for 5 days at Hale Laule’a in the Carriage House and are so grateful for the experience. That’s exactly what it was – an experience. Chad and Jennifer are amazing hosts and we learned so much about Hawaiian history. They took us on the most beautiful morning hike to the nearby black sand beach, gave the best recommendations for purchases at the Hilo Farmer’s Market, and taught us about all their animals on property. They honestly made us feel really special. We would fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest and awake to the sunrise. We would eat fresh mangos from the trees for breakfast while watching the horses and then sip coffee out on the point. We were really sad to leave and hope to visit again. The home itself was extremely clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need.
My sister was married there in the most perfect setting with stunning views. Chad and Jennifer helped coordinate everything for them, right down to arranging the floral centerpieces. I’m not elaborating more on the wedding, because I’m sure they will write their own review. If you’re looking for a special place to get married that is more than just a venue and more than just a place to lay your head, look no further. You’ll definitely want to come back to celebrate...
Read moreThe overall experience gets 5 Big Stars. It's been about 3 weeks since we returned from our amazing vacation at Hale Laule'a. Since then, somewhere in the neighborhood of 247 times (I've lost count) my wife has said, "I really want to go back...". I agree wholeheartedly!! The grounds are amazing, the views spactacular. The accomodations are first rate, with spectacular sunrizes and an overall thoughtfullness and attention to detail that made our "second honeymood" as romantic and wonderful as we had envisioned it. Our hosts, Chad and Jennifer were friendly and welcoming, as well as interesting and knowledgeable. They were available if we needed anything, while giving us all the privacy we wanted. The best thing about our hosts, however, is that they are willing to share their amazing place with us and others. Jennifer and Chad have put their heart and soul into creating a work of art, a little piece of heaven, Hale Laule'a. I highly recomend Hale Laule'a to anyone that loves beauty, nature and history, but especially for a wedding a honeymoon, a romantic getaway or if you are just in need of some soul rejuvenation. Mahalo Chad and Jennifer. See...
