Cute location, but not worth it on several fronts.
We noticed a gas leak shortly after arrival, reported it, and were told there was no leak but he’d come “make sure”. Owner showed up and mentioned the previous visitors had mentioned a leak as well (hmm), then when it was specifically pointed out, found the leak. The gas was turned off to the problematic appliance, but by then, as we soon found out, the gas tanks were empty. We had Thanksgiving without an oven, washer dryer, and hot water.
The house was dusty and there were dead bugs in the fridge.
When owner returned in the morning, he blamed us for not reporting the lack of hot water we had discovered that morning when attempting to shower (we reported the gas issue the night before- If he knew there was a leak maybe he should’ve checked his gas tanks, that is absolutely not our responsibility). The responsibilities of a guest are to enjoy a property responsibly, not report a litany of things missing and broken for the entire night instead of spending time with their family, and to be blamed somehow for these shortcomings was breathtaking.

When we reported it to VRBO, he fixated on dust bunnies, not the gas leak, insisted on off-app communication, and threatened to “blacklist us” for...
Read moreFirst off! The place is paradise wonderland. As soon as you get out of the car, you are engulfed by a gracious paradise forest. The Hosts were so kind and gave us an incredible tour of the property upon arriving. There was a baptismal haven waterfall that we were blessed with. We saw the sunset rising over the mountains. I have never felt more peace in my life staying in any other Airbnb. This is for the travelers who appreciate nature and the spirit of aloha. I asked the Host if had a waffle maker on the property and he went out of his way to purchase a waffle maker. I never had the most peaceful sleep looking back at my stays in others resorts. With the sound of the breeze though the leaves anyone will sleep. The bathroom and shower were well maintained and clean , and only a few steps from the room. There are beautiful Japanese Zen paintings in the living room/ kitchen community area with a big screen tv and views all around. There is a well sized parking area near community zone, making it convenient to bring luggage into your cabin. In conclusion with the breathtaking views, private waterfall, and nature cabin units. I will most definitely be coming back and recommend these cabin rentals to anyone who wants to have a Hawaiian experience and get away, Your Savy traveler...
