Kohala Lodge- Vacation Rental House — Hotel in Hawaii

Amazing place to stay! Elevated with distant ocean views and Maui in the background. The house was well equipped with views from almost every window. The pony and goats were fun to feed in the morning, it was part of our daily ritual. The property has so many special elements, from the hammock in the quiet fir trees, to the swing overlooking the land, down towards the ocean. Amazing sunset views. Peaceful and quiet. Great details in the house.

Hawi has a few decent restaurants and a nice gourmet grocer and there’s also full grocery store about a mile away from downtown Hawi. A few nice gift stores and coffee shop too. Driving into town was less than 10 mins away.

This house is a cedar masterpiece designed by the host themselves! We immediately felt this is by far the most amazing rental we have ever stayed at. We only stayed two nights, but it was immediately relaxing, and a great home base for local adventures.

The drive up is an opportunity to be inspired to explore the local landscape and learn about the areas unique history. We really appreciated the hosts recommendations from hours back riding to UTV tours - they were all great!

We are left feeling rejuvenated with plans to return.

Wow! Paradise found. Trust me the pictures don't do this place Justice. We stayed here five nights in late March 2023 and then moved to the other side of the island for seven nights. We quickly realized we should have stayed all 12 nights at this place. It's just peaceful and quiet.
