Reflecting on our trip fall of '22, John and Becky were the best hosts on the East side of the Sierra. Amenities included RV sites and rooms. They had a great place and their goal was to make you feel comfortable. They had a gathering around the big fire pit at night where we sipped our beverages, shared stories & bbq trout, ate complementary somores, and simply enjoyed the company and the night. I was delighted to spend a couple nights there and experience this place. We went to the Travertine hot springs, Twin Lakes, Bridgeport, Mono Lake, Virginia Lakes, successfully fished Virginia creek, hiked outback with our host & dogs with views of the Sawtooth range, and participated in a fish stocking operation. We have more to do next time we go. This place is centrally located for lots of different destinations. They had onsite laundry facilities. There's a restraunt within walking distance. They had a trout pond for guest's children to get more comfortable with "catching" rather than just "fishing".

Originally, I had lodging reservations with another hotel in the area for my holiday travel. Unfortunately, the reservation was canceled and I was given notice with an option. I've never stayed at motel and was a little hesitant about lodging at a motel and in this area. However, Becky and John didn't disappoint; Both are friendly and welcoming. Also, the location is perfect for highway access, scenery and close in proximity for outdoor activities. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. Honestly, the room was cleaner than some hotels I've stay at in the past. In addition, the room is single unit, with private bathroom, microwave, refrigerator and cable television. I will definitely book with Willow Spring Motel for lodging in this area again.. Thank you!

Found this place on HipCamp on my way to Lake Tahoe. Had I known, I would have stayed here more days. The staff was so friendly and made you feel at home. There's a community campfire (if weather permits) along with marshmallows. The two gentlemen that work there are full of knowledge and stories from three generations that owned this property and the nearby cities. Honestly, one of the best campgrounds I've stayed at in a while, and I made connections with other strangers. I would love to come back and stay here again. Hours before my arrival, I ended up in the ER in Mammoth due to a stress attack—and this place, the staff, and the stories were exactly what the doctor ordered. Happy travels to anyone that sees this comment and stay wild! :)

family run rv park... Communal fire pit is a lovely evening..owners provided marshmallows to my daughter.. Soo sweet.. Fishing Creek across the street... Italian restaurant you can walk to... Highly recommend... Update.. We stayed there again this year and the staff were not as friendly.. Make sure you have a 30 amp converter if you are running 50 amp... We needed air conditioning for our little girls and did not have a converter in our new motor home .... We walked around asking fellow campers if they had an extra converter.. It was 90 that day and we have a 4 month old and a 4 year old... We asked one of the gentleman who must work at the park... He told us to as the office.. The lady inside the house was so unhelpful.. She told Me she had no idea what we were talking about and why were we not self contained?? .. Cant we run on our own??? On our generator (yes but then why would we stay at a rv park to be self contained ) It was so frustrating.. My babies were so hot.. We drove all day from southern California and were just trying to get settled for the night.. Apparently the gentleman worker saw how we were not helped and went to the office and found it for us so we were able to have air conditioning for our babies... We decided to stay again on our way home and were surprised that we were charged $60 for the night.. ... I picked up my 12 year old niece and apparently she's extra $$$ in our motor home.. We were charged extra for her which was surprising bc she was no added expense on the park.. We fed her not them lol.. Their customer service has really gone down hill.. Maybe they were annoyed with us having children... Its disappointing bc we like the environment there and the restaurant proximity after a long day of travel... . The park is nice.. Wish they had some play equipment on their lovely lawn for the kids but maybe they are after the retirement community and...

Well heading south we saw this little campground on the east side of the highway. With a quick phone call we discovered that they had one space left available for two nights. Upon turning around and arrivingat the office we met Annie, the proprietor, with her fresh plate of cookies and just a wonderful greeting. Danny got us all set up and informants of all the things to do around the area. We were lacking a second home needed for a ride on my motorcycleand her son John went above and beyond to borrow one for us from a friend and ran all the way into town and back taking an hour of his life out for our benefit.the next day I noticed that I had forgotten to bring some oil for the motorcycle and once again call Don Jon and he once again provided incredible service by giving me some oil.if we didn't live so far away we would be booking a reservation each and every summer. I highly recommend to all this is the place you want to stay if you want to go check out the old ghost town of Bodie and the surrounding mines in the area incredible sights to to see.bring a motorcycle quad Jeep UTV whatever but there's an unending amount of cool roads and trails to travel and the highlight was going up to kavanaugh ridge at 11600 ft and looking into Yosemite...

RV park with some cabins. Right off highway 395, a few miles south of Bridgeport, California.

We were non RV visitors, and stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was basic, but very clean. Small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Table and 2 chairs. Free wifi.

The location is in a pocket, so no cellphone service, drive a couple of miles north towards Bridgeport to get cellular service.

Despite being next to the highway, it was fairly quiet in the room. The room had a window style AC unit which worked well. Gravel parking lot, can park right outside the unit in our case. Water is cold, comes from a well and is drinkable from the tap. This is high elevation, so keep hydrated.

There is a fishing pond on site, and picnic tables which were pleasant to sit and have your lunch. Bags of ice are available from the office. Also fishing is a big thing in the area. Ask Robert for info.

There was an evening campfire, open to all guests, it was really interesting to meet people from all over, including some international travelers. S'mores supplies were available.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the venue is in great proximity to many sites of interest, so we will be keeping it on our preferred list for staying for...
