I believe this is the oldest campground in farragut. It could use some tlc. Site 125 which we stayed in, granted our long draught didn't help, was so dusty my dogs white was brown. I felt filthy while time I was there. There was very little gravel on the camping spur or pad. It was just fine dust. Then to add misery, the camp host with electric blower instead of taking the above campsite blew it with the blower sending it all in my face and space. I was viking on dust along with all the smoke. Then he cleaned off the road with the blower and even though there was no1 below us was going back and forth throwing more dust at us. The spurs for parking and canoes should be asphalt and the pads all need gravel. 1 stall in men's bathroom was also broken. I love farragut, but this time I was very displeased with conditions. They charge more than if you go to heyburn state park, I expect vindicated to reflect in my...
Read moreThis campground is very well-maintained. There are plenty of rangers available that are monitoring the grounds. The sites are large and have water and electricity. The only reason I didnât do five stars is because there are two sites in the whole campground that are backwards for the pull through RV hook ups. (#119) They failed to tell us that our campsite was one of those special backwards hook ups. Also, the camp host female, did not have information for us regarding how far the lake is. The lake is a very far walk. Itâs recommended that you drive to it. This was a surprise because we had to unhook the motorhome from the site and drive to enjoy the lake. There is no RV parking at the day use lake access. Be aware that the only trash cans are at the park entrance. You must bring the trash inside your rig at night. .all in all we enjoyed it. I wish the camp host (female) had more information for...
Read moreBeautiful area close to CDA and Bayview Mercantile is very close to the campgrounds. We were able to fit my sister-in-law's medium tent tent and our big 10-person tent in one space. This is mostly for RV camping but suited our needs nicely. For those inclined, there are a few ORV paths just north of Bayview that are not very technical, but I found it to be enjoyable riding...
