My husband and I bought concert tickets and the venue was the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds and wanted to spend the night in Hiawassee because we knew it would be a late night. Somehow I found this B&B- on Facebook maybe. I called the phone # and left a message. Not long afterwards Linda called me. We reserved a queen room. Linda was very nice on the phone and we looked forward to staying here.
We got to the area and Google Maps had us at the location but there were no signs in front of the houses there. In fact the houses were in the 200âs, not 400âs. I changed to Apple Maps and it took us down the road further. The house #âs changed drastically so be aware of that. The B&B is a wide blue house with white trim on the right side of the road. The B&B sits back off the road. A house with the same #, but with a B sits right at the road. Thatâs not it. The driveway is just past several mailboxes. When you drive all the way down youâll see a sign on the corner of the house that says itâs the B&B and to go that way. Note: I would recommend getting there while itâs still daylight so you can see. The roads are windy and since Google maps stops short of the actual location, it would be frustrating.
Now for our wonderful stay. Linda was a WONDERFUL host! She showed us into the spa area. We didnât use it but it looked very nice with a hot tub, sauna and shower down in that area.
She welcomed us into her home and told us we were welcome to come hang out in the living room area. We didnât end up doing that because we werenât there long before we needed to leave for dinner and the concert.
Our room had an outside entrance and then an inside door that led to the rest of the house. The room was decorated really nice- kind of antique-ish and pretty. It had a good sized smart tv, a nice bathroom with a walk in shower, a shift robe to hang your clothes in and there were robes and slippers you could use. The bed was very comfortable.
One of my favorite things about B&Bâs isâŚthe breakfast! Linda did not disappoint. Not only was it delicious but the Christmas presentation was beautiful.
We really enjoyed talking to Linda and we felt instantly welcome in her lovely home...
Read moreTo be honest weâve never stayed at a B&B,but weâve had friends describe it as being something a little bit different than what we experienced. That being said Linda was very kind and accommodating when it came to helping us with trying to see the surrounding sites. Even offering brochures that she had on hand and suggesting places. The property itself is beautiful. The homemade breakfast both days was delicious. However it feels more like your trapped in your grandmotherâs bedroom. Thereâs a small front room that leads to a porch to sit on but it kinda feels like youâre in a strangers home and that you might be disturbing someone if you leave your room. If youâre going just for a place to stay to visit sites thatâs reasonably priced itâs a good deal. But if youâre seeking relaxation the walls are thin and you hear everything and I mean everything from phones ringing to dishes being washed and conversations being had (some of of which you feel like you you shouldnât be hearing) not including the maintenance that started at 7am right underneath our room during our stay. We do have to admit the best part of our stay was Lindaâs dog Allie. Weâre huge animal lovers and what a sweet sweet girl she is. Itâs also a very difficult road and driveway to navigate in the dark. Because itâs not just dark itâs pitch black. But Hiawasee is a beautiful little town with a lot of...

The breakfast was simply divine. With every bite you could feel the amount of love that was put into it. As the fog begins to lift in the morning the aroma of rich Java fills the dining room and with every sip comes a sweet tranquility. If you are an avid coffee enthusiast like me you will enjoy the freshly brewed coffee here.
Whether you are a hiker, leafer, or simply two love birds celebrating an anniversary, the Hidden Valley Bed & Breakfast is the best place to be. Linda also recommended some great hiking trails in the area and it made our experience even better than we imagined.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway in the Georgia Mountains I recommend the French Spa Room as it includes your own personal sauna, spa, and couples massage room.
For the absolute best experience, I recommend booking your stay directly through the website itself. I definitely plan on returning to the Hidden Valley Bed & Breakfast...
