I’m feeling a little sad writing this review. I really wish the importance of wearing a helmet was discussed at the stable before the ride, during the demonstration. I understand we sign to deal with our own injury but if someone doesn’t understand the importance and hasn’t been on a horse before, they might choose to go without one due to just not knowing. I wish the tour guides wore helmets. It was stressful to have the horses go through slippery, wet clay with trees on either side and rocks with people not wearing helmets. I also understand that horses have bad days but my partner almost got bucked off of Milo at least twice. He was a Grey Dapple. I think I see pictures of him on here. I’m not sure if Milo is super broke and just having a bad day or if he was green. I know if I was on him and he did that, I would just get off but it’s a little harder in that situation. I’ve never had my horse respond like that. He’s really scared of them now. I would like to come back but I think I’ll just stick with the hour long ride next time. I am not sure if I can convince my partner to come back or not. He’s pretty much super scared...
Read moreWow! What a great experience! My mom, partner and I did the two hour trail ride starting at 10am. It was a great time of day to go because it wasn’t too hot/muggy. The two hour ride weaved through wide and narrow trails, in the open meadows and at the base of the mountain that the property resides on. Our guide was Elizabeth and her laid back nature made our ride very relaxing. We are novice riders so we needed some help here and there and Elizabeth was great at being hands on and also teaching us how to properly guide our horses. The horses we rode were Milo, Bandit, and Lucky. We could tell the horses are VERY WELL trained!! They followed in a line effortlessly and were perfect for us as novice riders. We did need to use the reigns somewhat, but it seemed the horses knew these trails and followed Elizabeth’s lead very well. The land that Trackrock owns is absolutely stunning! As a Utahn, I was blown away with the scenery. I hope to return to Georgia and ride at Trackrock...
Read moreWe purchased the one hour ride for two adults. It was a great trek and the horses were matched well with their riders. My husband is taller and they made sure he was on a horse that could support him and not be hurt. If you're +220 lbs expect a small fee to have a larger horse. We didn't mind because you don't often see horses cared for so well when involved with touristy things. Laura and our other guide (I've forgotten her name) were excellent guides and made sure our stirrups were comfortable and informed us of anything that might make the horses go faster. Helmets are option except for the two hour ride because you do reach a canter. Safety is obviously their priority here and that's great to see. They stopped in a field and took pictures for us to have and that was a great added touch. Bullet (the darker horse) was a good boy and so was Copper. We thoroughly enjoyed riding them and theyre...
