We absolutely loved Tranquille resort! The only bad thing was we couldn't stay longer! We stayed for one night mid week, we were a group of 4 adults and our dogs. First let me tell you, the location is amazing, we came from metro Atlanta, it was about a 2.5 hour drive. The last hour of the drive is so scenic, it really built up the excitement of the trip. I recommend going to the Bell Mountain lookout before you arrive, its about a 10 minute drive from the resort. From the top of Bell mountain there are 360* view of Lake Chatuge and the scenery is spectacular. We arrived early at the resort and Jennifer was amazing, she got our room ready slightly early. We went over to the cafe, sat on the dock and then walked the dogs around the lake while we waited, it was a very relaxing start. All of the staff were so friendly and nice, they really made us feel welcome and the whole check-in process went smoothly. Once we got the keys to the cabin we settled in straight away, did a quick outfit change and then it was time for our boat rental. We booked a pontoon rental from 4-6pm, we did this through the resort. We literally walked 1 minute from the cabin down the dock and there the boat was waiting for us. If you have the time and the funds to do this I highly recommend it. There's nothing like jumping into the cool water in this summer heat. After the boat we went back to the cabin and grilled some steaks on the BBQ, we sat outside with the beautiful lake view and sipped prosecco. The cabins inside are modern, clean, spacious and have everything you need for grilling, cooking breakfast etc. We had the best time on our trip and I can't wait to go back. I'm already planning my next adventure up there!

Our stay at the Tranquille Resort was nothing short of perfect! We booked all seven cabins for our 3-day wedding weekend with our closest family and friends, and the experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we started planning back in December, the property manager, Jennifer, was an absolute lifesaver. As a DIY bride, her help and guidance were invaluable. She was incredibly communicative and proactive, coordinating with me every step of the way. She truly needs a raise—her dedication to our event was extraordinary. The resort itself is a peaceful and gorgeous oasis. The cabins are beautifully and tastefully decorated, offering perfect accommodations for all of our guests. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, combined with the beautiful weather, made our special weekend truly unforgettable. Our guests loved the variety of activities available. We hosted a welcome pizza party, had our wedding on-site, and enjoyed an incredible boat day, bringing our own ski boat and jet skis, as well as renting all of their boat toys for a day of fun on the water. Jennifer and her staff were beyond sweet and took care of our every need with a smile. We can't thank them enough for their warmth and hospitality. If you're looking for a stunning, serene, and perfectly managed getaway for an event or just a family trip, look no further than the Tranquille Resort!

Wanted to do a quick getaway from Atlanta and chose tranquille resort. We decided to come and stay for two week nights as the prices were cheaper and with the wifi, we could work as well.

It’s only about a 2hr drive from where I am but there was a bit of traffic getting out of atlanta on a wed afternoon when we left so we didn’t get in till dark. I called to say we might miss the office check in hours (till 6pm) so they kindly left the key in the cabin for us for whenever we arrived which was very helpful.

The rooms were clean and kitchen and bathroom had pretty much everything you needed. We also utilized the charcoal grill. Only complaint was the lighting was a tad dark during the night but maybe it’s to help you relax. Loved the view of the lake from the cabin, it was beautiful to wake up to.

We were also able to bring our dog for a $60 fee. House rule does say no dog on bed so keep that in mind. There was a little doggy station on site and we were able to walk him around the property to potty. He enjoyed his stay and we liked going to the nearby trials in the morning/afternoon for a hike.

There’s an ingles nearby as well as some other restaurants if you need food options like McDonald’s, Dunkin, couple of Pizza chains, and whatever a small town typically has to offer.

Overall we...
