My rating for Creek Side RV Resort is actually 3.5. It was fairly easy to book online; plenty of space available. The only online issue I had was changing from one to two nights. The system wouldn't allow me to adjust before I paid, so I had to make two reservations; one for each night. I chose the site I did because it was advertised as having shade from trees. When I arrived I found two saplings, not two shade trees (one day....). I did end up near the dog park, which was great as I'd brought my SD-in-training. The park rules document dogs must be leashed and under their handler's control at all times; however while walking my leashed Labbie to the public restroom, the Camp hosts' dog, unleashed, came charging up on my dog. Nothing happened but butt sniffing (both being Labs) yet I found the contradiction in rules annoying. On the topic of the public restroom; it was locked at night, which I found disappointing. I was in a pop-up camper without plumbing. I wanted to brush my teeth and pee.... The grounds seemed generally well kept; the Resort is fairly new, so it lacked mature landscaping. I also was frustrated that there were only fire rings in the few high end sites. Considering the price per night, about $40, I did not find it very resort-like. I did have electric & water hookups, which were great, save for the water that came out looking nasty and not consumable. What little interaction I had with staff was pleasant. I think if someone is passing through Hays and needs a spot overnight, it's probably fine, especially in a self-contained rig. A fire ring and clean water would have made a significant difference to me.

Great park, helpful staff, safe and clean, just a fantastic stop for the night and easy back onto I70. After more than two weeks traveling and many of those nights spent one night at a time at different parks, the last stop ended up being by far the best stop—Creek Side Resort. It’s the little things that make the difference when you’re road tired and just want things simple, and clean. You’d think that wasn’t too much to ask for places convenient to the interstates but most were just somewhat …yucky. But at CSR, we found pristine, level sites (we literally just plugged and played our rig, what a treat), CLEAN nice private showers—no insects, woo hoo—and there were several locations of the shower/toilet houses too, keeping things convenient. The camp store was very well supplied too, and even sold locally ranched beef, frozen so you could take it home or save it for a later day down the road. The best part about the camp store? The ColdStone Creamery Ice Cream. It was so good I had a bowl the next morning for breakfast! There’s fun things for the kids as well, although we weren’t traveling with any, like the tortoises and the ducks and ducklings. Also, a walking path that was peaceful and pretty, great to stretch our legs. Anyway, kudos to these guys, doing it the way it’s supposed to be done. Creek Side Resort, we will see you next time!

We stayed here while on our family road trip from Vancouver Washington. The place was well designed and immaculate. The sites are large, come with picnic tables and some have concrete pads. Plenty of private restrooms and showers. There are nice laundry facilities. They have really cool feature where they show movies outdoors, complete with a snack shack. You can tell the owners take pride in there property. This was a great place to stay. We will stay here again if we are in the area. I made a short video of the resort. First off sorry it took me a bit to send my review but lets get into it :) Creek Side Resort in Hays, Ks is by far an AMAZING place to stay & the staff/owner are equally AMAZING. Went to visit family in kansas and needed a place to stay at the end of July into August 2023. I was looking for something close, not ridiculously priced & pet friendly & enough room for myself and two teens. During my google search I came across CSR on the 2nd page of listings- yes amazing things are not always listed first :) But let me tell you I couldn't be happier that we found this place. It was beyond perfect there was no hotel non-sense, no overcrowding, it was priced perfectly, pets accepted, cozy/comfy, plenty of room in the cabins and outside to explore and the location was perfect. I viewed the loft cabins which are spacious & would work perfectly but since we opted to stay longer I asked for a regular cabin & the staff were happy to accomodate.I will be going back to stay here this fall & I forsee see many more stays in our future at CSR. I have spread the word to my military friends/family and fellow RV's and adventurers and those who hate hotels but need a place to stay :)

They offer military discounts, have laundry machines, open air movie theater, dog park, playground. The office has supplies for purchase. The cabins have fridge/microwave & keurig for use. There is a small pond with ducks, the entire property is clean/manicured/ there is also an exercise room, small enclosed area with tables within the laundry room w/tv, plenty of outdoor showers/bathrooms, the wifi works well. CSR staff/owners are doing it right 1000%.

The shower/pressure was fantastic & accommodates tall people, the beds slept amazing. These are new cabins, super clean well presented and just so excited to have found them.

I would say an extra towel bar would be nice in the bathroom & maybe a small shower shelf. On the back fence separating the cabins maybe some hooks to hang beach towels & bathing suits to dry. A small coat tree might be helpful and a small hand broom/dustpan under the kitchen sink so I can sweep the floor a bit.

Don't stay in a stuffy hotel- go stay at CSR where you can breath and truly relax.

You guys at CSR are amazing and I can't wait to return. Thanks so...
