Great Bear Cabin — Hotel in Hebron Township

It is one thing to rent a really beautiful place (which this is), but it is entirely different to find one that makes you feel genuinely cared for. You can sense Josh’s warmth and generosity throughout, which made the experience feel personal and special. The cabin felt like it came straight out of a storybook (the three bears cabin, of course!) It was charming, peaceful, and unique! I was so worried about there being a musty and/or dusty smell, but there wasn’t even so much as a hint of either (nor any dog hair!). All surfaces everywhere were spic and span. Trust me, this place is gold. (Probably worth a good amount of gold, actually…the cost of everything, from the numerous custom made signs, to bear (and other) murals, lamps, light switches, and MUCH more, must have been a small fortune.) I especially loved the one upstairs bedroom!! My husband was impressed with everything, and that says A LOT (He is notoriously hard to get a reaction out of.) We had a blast playing shuffleboard and Pac Man. (But there are many more games too!) That game room looks to be brand new. One piece of advice: please try the trip up to the field during the day first. Our car is quite low to the ground (Ford Fusion), and we were bottoming out, so we didn’t end up viewing the stars from the field. But no worries! We just turned off all of the lights inside the house, and saw a sky absolutely littered with thousands of stars. It was one of the most magical moments of my life....

I had an incredible stay at this cozy cabin! Nestled in a peaceful wooded area, it offered the perfect balance of seclusion and comfort. The cabin was immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to extra blankets for the cooler nights.

The outdoor space was a highlight—enjoying coffee on the deck each morning while listening to the birds was so relaxing. The fire pit area was perfect for stargazing and making s’mores in the evening.

Our host was fantastic, providing clear instructions for check-in and offering great local recommendations. They even left a welcome basket, which was a lovely touch!

If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with all the comforts of home, this cabin is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Bear Cabin is a true gem. Nestled on its own private property in the heart of Gods Country. We loved the views and privacy of the cabin, but we were in love with the decor and comfort! Josh has taken great measures to bring comfort to your get-away! Amazing mattresses, high end bedding/ linens, and lots of little touches!! The dog station was filled with milk bones and they make it easy to keep cleaned up from your pet outside! Our favorite was the hot tub, playing board games in front of the bay window and being greeted by deer when we woke up. thanks for a great stay! Can’t wait to...
