Our first time here. I would consider this park small. It was very Quiet but not what we were hoping for. We were bummed that there weren't many kids/families. Sat night no one was out except us making Smores, in a fire pit we had to request since even after asking at booking we were in a spot without a pit so no fire Fri night unfortunately because we came in after 6pm closing. While searching for a RV camp we looked for Wi-Fi as a requirement and this place advertised free WiFi, yet there is not actually Wi-Fi to use. I asked the office about it and was casually told that maybe other people are using it or I need to be in row B to access it. I would think my concerns would be their concern but it clearly was not. We were in row D and could not get anything to work, considering we watch TV via Wi-Fi and all our kids tablets and such, this is a real problem for my family :) we all need time inside where it's cool and to just relax. I don't think I should pay the same as people receiving services I was not able to and that I wasn't given the option, I didn't find out about the Wi-Fi until we were completely set up. My kids were really upset, Enough so that we won't be back. I want to know what I'm getting when I'm booking not after it's too late to make changes. There are some great shade trees but not near us. Tractor ride was a thumbs down from our 3 kids, ages 4,7&8. There was nothing to see and it was VERY hot, we were just baked for 10 min and eager to get off and take a dip in pool. The pool was ok. Limited Patio seating was old and In need of a cleaning. My kids were scared by some other guests by loud sudden noises and also I kept being asked to borrow sunblock by grown men. Super awkward when I'm just trying to watch my kids play. I wasn't liking the office employees smoking right outside the door of the store by my kids. Maybe I'm too critical of this but I prefer not to smell it. Like I said I won't be returning to this park because of reasons mentioned above and that my kids were bored here. Usually they don't want to leave camp so I was...
Read moreRUDE. RUDE. RUDE. It's a cute place. I stayed 3 nights over a four day period in May. It rained every day I was there. Two staff members who worked in the store told me that the lounge was open 24/7 to all guests. Those two ladies were very helpful and kind. They have a computer and phone for guests. I used the computer for a few minutes a few times to check the weather. This RV park obviously caters to RVers, putting their needs and desires above tent campers. On Friday and Saturday there were at least 50 RVers from a group who used all the facilities. The staff members were busy. Unfortunately, I was treated badly. On Sunday, after everyone from the huge group had left, I decided to sit in the lounge and watch a TV program for 2 hours. Earlier I had gone out to town to buy food, so I ate it in the lounge while it rained. After about 1.5 hours, a lady with very short white hair (I think she's the owner) burst into the lounge and said sternly, "You know, We don't allow people to live in here." I was quite shocked. I was a paying guest. I didn't leave a mess. I wasn't bothering anyone. In fact, I was the only one in there. Not a single other person had entered the lounge while I'd been there. Why would she be upset? (Obviously, she was taking out her personal issues on me.) I told her that I was just hanging out watching TV. I told her that the rain would stop by 6 pm according to the weather report, and that I would be sleeping in my tent, as I had done the other nights. Then she said, "Well I hope you don't stay all night.". So rude! I have never been treated so badly at a campground. Customer service, friendliness and respect are the most important...
Read moreWell, we are full-time RVers and are currently trying out every park in our area to find the perfect fit. I'll save the families with children a phone call. They don't want children there. I called to find out more information because the website is completely useless and has next to zero information.
I asked the lady on the phone if there was anything I should know about the park. The first question she asked was, "Do you have any kids?" I said yes, 11 and 9. So, she went into a rather long-winded rant about how quiet the park is, how loud children are, how they don't want noise, the park has nothing for them to do, they can't ride their bikes or do anything without an adult holding their hands, etc. She finished it with there were only 2 children in the entire park, and they were homeschooled, and they only came out of the RV for a maximum of 2 hours a day.
My children are quiet, respectful, friendly, independent, and trustworthy. I know they wouldn't be an issue, but with the effort used to talk me out of staying there, I figured I would just give my money to someone who actually wanted to have us there.
It's very VERY clear, children are not welcome here. If your children go outside at all, or enjoy playing or speaking to each other, this place isn't for yall. Families, I saved yall...
