This was a very nice little campground, well maintained and kept. Location is good as well....easy access to interstate, fair sized community a few miles East and West of it. My issues are twofold. ||||1. We called needing a 5 night stay and was told by Todd that he could provide us 4 nights but otherwise he was booked for the 5th night we needed. We took the 4. However, the area he put us in was never full the 4 nights we were there and in reality the most rigs I saw on any given night was 6. This park had at least 40 sites (I didn't count them). ||2. Never met the lady half of the management team as she unfortunatley was away on a family emergency. Todd on the other hand was ok, until he had an issue with someone who made a mistake. You know the old saying about accomplishing more with honey.....well, honey wasn't in Todd's arena. IF he'd have approached things a bit more calmly he would have heard one person take blame for not having informed another person of the need to check in as a visitor to a paying guest and would have received an apology. Also, as guests we had told him in advance that we would have 2 cars of visitors (2 adults in one car and 3 children of that couple in another). Unknown to us, because of occurrance beyond the adults control they had to bring separate vehicles and the kids were still "scheduled" to come after their school events. Again, we would have worked something out so as not to have too many vehicles. Instead, Todd became very agitated and voicferous about "not sufficient parking" and literally stormed off waving his arms and saying things we couldn't hear. Knowing that things had not worked out as we'd planned (and figuring the issue would possibly continue/escalate), we opted to leave the campground for our small gathering (all of 7 people ranging in age from 72 to 15...with 4 of them being adults and parents of the teens). So, due to the attitude that we were approaced with....we will definitely find another location to stay our next trip through. That's a mere $200 to $250 twice a year. Having been camp hosts for 5 years at government campgrounds, we definitely feel the way Todd handled this situation was out of line with any kind of...

Read moreI pulled in here after my car broke down on the highway. I barely made it off the exit and this was the first place safe place I saw to stop, so I could figure out what to do next such as getting the car towed. The property was not clearly posted no trespassing, and there were no fences or gates to otherwise indicate that it was private property. Any passerby would assume that this was a business open to the public. There was a stop sign which notified that you must be registered to pass beyond that point, although this sign was quite far down the driveway. At no point did I pass beyond that sign, although I still got yelled at and told I was trespassing, to which I complied and left the property. At no point had I broken any laws. I understand that it is within the property owner's power to notify any visitor to leave the property. But her hostile attitude and response to my presence made it seem as though I was knowingly entering and remaining on private property, which was not the case. Maybe if you don't want strangers entering your property, you should put a gate on the driveway or clear signage visible from the roadway. Because currently, it appears to be open to the public as would be expected with any other business. I would also like to comment on the owner's pervious replies in which she threatens that everything is recorded on camera. If the owners do decide to press charges on anyone who enters their driveway without violating any other laws or entering the restricted areas, they should be aware that under Nebraska statute 28-522, it is is an affirmative defense to criminal trespass if "The premises were at the time open to members of the public and the actor complied with all lawful conditions imposed on access to or remaining in the premises". As Prairie Oasis Campground seems to fit this description of being open to the public, the owners will be unable to prosecute those who stopped at the end of the driveway as I did, unless they also did not comply with verbal communication to leave the property or signs indicating restricted areas. With all this considered, there was no reason for the owners to react with such rudeness...
