We were looking for a family-friendly farm to visit with our 2 year old daughter. Yorkie Acres Farm was well worth the visit! Rosie, the family Yorkie ran up to us as soon as we arrived. What a fantastic welcome! Shortly after, Jason, introduced himself and provided a tour of the farm which included a brief history of the property, the infamous Yurt, Buffalo Run and of course the many farm animals by their given names. Our daughter loved the interaction with the goats, the Scottish Highland's and Winnie the cow. Jason was punctual, respectful and a very knowledgeable host. Thank you very much for the hospitality! I previously read of someone making a donation, so I gladly followed suit. Jason encouraged us to take our time on the property - to spend time with and feed the animals, and donating to his family's working farm was the least that we could do!...
Read moreMy wife and I spent the weekend on the farm and had the time of our lives! The Yurt is awesome and extremely comfortable. The cooking pavilion has a really cool stone fireplace and everything you need for cooking and dining on site. Jason and Alea were very gracious hosts, and Alea gave us a fantastic tour of the farm. Bowie, the farm dog, greeted us on arrival, and is VERY friendly. She is a total sweetheart! Sidney, one the cats visited us soon after dark. The next morning, we had a blast visiting with the many goats, and chickens who are also VERY friendly. We enjoyed giving them all treats. I was even able to sit down and snuggle with the farms Scottish Highland bull calf, Ronan. He, too is a total sweetheart. We are planning on making a yearly overnight stop at Yorkie Acres Farm! Highly recommended when you need to decompress....
