ive been fishing at your lake for over 6 years and usually limit out on tue morn, but you have changed how your fish run ,they no longen go in a circle around the island..since you started doing this i got 1 fish, 0 fish 1 fish 0 fish 4 fish and 0 fish... I as well as atleast 10 otherd ar dissable vetsand many of us have fished there 10 - 15 years and over that time trhu many hours of fishing have figured out where the best spot were.. for instance myself before the past 6 miserable weeks had my limit 7 straight weeks by 7;30 am iam 100% dissabled so i reallly cant fish for for than bout 2 hours max...jo fished the 15 years ,ed 12 ;years leo 15 years, harry 15 years gerald and storm 5 years, wynn 10years.. the point is that we cant aforrd to spend a lot of money so when we go we like to catch fish and we have done so for many years and of course we have told all of our friends and neighbors about your great lake.. but after the past 6 week after screwing all of you old buddies aroung we are all dicussing other avenues, such as mahve narrows, and none of us want to fish there ,but you took all off our holes away and we are no longer catching limits and we are no longer telling everyone to come there.. the point is that we have showed you much loyalty over the years only to to screwed badely by your lake and we didnt do anything to deserve this treatment...also weve lost over 20 guys who come up the hill each week to fish, but have stopped because the fishing has stopped..and after all we are vets many of us wouned sverely for our country and this was our home.. we hop you will find it it your hearts to return the fishing back to where it was 6 weeks ago,i sure hope so i like your lake much better that the narrows.. thank you...
Read moreThis is a municipal park and campground. We were staying down the road at another awful campground and came here to walk our dog around the lake. It was a Friday morning at 10am but there were hundreds of men sitting around the lake fishing instead of working. There was even a City of Azusa Street Division employee in uniform fishing. Place reeks of cigarettes and alcohol. There is a green shaded park with an artificial stream running thru it, complete with picnic tables and a playground. Behind the lake is more parking, an equestrian area, and a large grass field for youth sports. Trash everywhere, mostly beer cans and cigarette butts. The campground itself is just a dirt lot with concrete wheel stops on both sides to designate where to park. No privacy. There are a mix of sites including tent, electric only and electric/water. No sewer hookups or dump station. The office and camp store are in the parking lot of the park next to the campground. There is NO sign on the building telling you that it is a store or campground office. When you walk up to the building there is a sign that says you can park there to register. When you walk around the building you see a glass door with a paper sign that says no more than 5 people in store at one time. When we were there there was just one camper and the camp host, the rest of the sites were empty. Place is very unsafe, no police presence or enforcement rangers. Given the people who hang out here I would not want...
Read moreThis park is an absolute gem! It's beautiful with amazing water features. A creek runs throughout with little bridges connecting the picnic and play area to the lake. It's rather spacious, lots of places to choose from to sit and just enjoy being outside. My kids all loved the play equipment. But the best part, there are sooooooo many ducks and geese!!! They even sell food at a little store in the front of the park. The water fowl are so tame they came and ate food right out of our hands. My children were absolutely enchanted! I saw lots of other families relaxing and fishing.
It does get crowded on the weekends. Lots of birthdays were going on the day we went, it looked like they were allowed to set up bounce houses! (Which I thought was really cool.)
There are bathrooms with running water, but it was kinda dirty and out of toiletries. I'm assuming this is because it was so popular the day we went. Buy I'll definitely bring my own tissue with next time we come.
I really am looking forward to coming back. I would also like to explore around...
